About this item

  • Completely oil soluble
  • Increases protection for during break-in
  • Reduces frictional values
  • Excellent adhesion properties to stay on and protect parts
  • Bright red color

MPZ Engine Assembly Lube is favored by professional mechanics for assembling many internal mechanical components including wrist pins, pistons, bushings, plain bearings, ball bearings, roller bearings, journals and transmission components. MPZ EAL is a high viscosity, oil soluble lubricant which contains a concentrate of anti-wear, anti-friction and anti-shock chemistries featuring the highest degree of protection. Completely oil soluble increases protection during break-in with excellent adhesion properties and will slowly run and drip leaving protective film on treated part. Protects assembled engines, transmissions and rear axles from rust and corrosion during storage and shipment to vehicle assembly plants. Recommended as a pre-lube for valve train parts, wrist pins, rod bearings, main bearings, gears, bushings, roller bearings, ball bearings in manual and automatic transmissions, transaxles, transfer cases, rear axles and marine v-drives.

This is the only product I will use, it can last on machined parts for a very long time. Just the right amount of texture to stay on what you need it to stay on until it gets ran.

It looks to be genuine but I have no way to tell. I used this stuff for years from reputable suppliers in the UK and it really is the best assembly lube. Its like very sticky honey stay on you parts for years. My previous bottle had red writing on it for the logo however this one is white writing for logo and description which makes me wonder if it's genuine or not. It possibly is and they just changed the print but I have no way to confirm this.

I assemble engines for a living and have tried nearly every assembly lube on the market. Torco assembly lube works, but I find it too runny for main & rod bearings (most of it ends up in the oil pan after 24hrs). Anything I would use the Torco for (valvetrain, gears, chains), I now use Lucas assembly lube for. The Lucas lube is a little thicker and much tackier, and it costs much less. For main and rod bearings nothing is better than Clevite's bearing guard -it is a perfect consistency and stays where you put it. For cam lobes I like Isky rev lube or Joes Gibbs assembly grease -both are excellent for flat tappet camshafts and are thick enough to stay in place on the lobes and lifter faces.

I build 1-3 diesel performance engines a month. This is the only assembly lube I will use. I’ve tried a handful and this seems to work best upon initial prime and holding bearings. I’ve also used it in my ratchets and in turbo rebuilds.

This is the assembly lube my engine builder has used for year and I purchased it based on his vast experience. We used it in my new big block and works great. Gets a little thin when subjected to hear so don't leave it in the car just prior to use. It does go right back to the same original thickness once it cools off.

I have used this product for quite a few years and find it is very helpful when assembling motors. It does a nice job coding the new bearing surfaces and once the engine gets oil pressure it seems to do a nice job of mixing with the away on dissipating. Also find it very useful on rebuilding issue carburetors to enable the choked to function properly
