It holds my phone and snacks while I ride keeping them easily accessible. My phone is a Note 10+, so definitely on the bigger side, with a slim case, just enough room to fit in the bag. I've been soaked while riding and never had an issue with water getting in. Easy to zip/unzip while riding. I loosened the strap that goes around the stem a bit because it pulled the bag too tight, so it leans a little, but doesn't squeak as much and leaves the most amount of space in the bag

Replaced a smaller top tube bag, of a little lesser quality, and this bag offers more than ample room for the items I want to store in the bag during a ride. The bag is well made, and I use a Topeak saddle bag as well, too. In addition, I occasionally use my Topeak cargo bag, along with its rack, on my Specialized bike, too. I have found Topeak to make good bike bags and have been happy with my current bags and I am sure I will be happy with this top tube bag, too.

The perfect top bag .....brought esp for my USB lights battery pack...fit well onto my MTB , Very secure stable. The special hole for the USB Cables needs to be shaped better, esp if USB Lights are hard wired..... Took 15mins to get USB Cables carefully through hole, other than will test ride ut in interesting terrain.

This pouch does exactly what I wanted it to do. I use it to hold a small Anker power bank which is routed to my phone (mounted on the handle bars) through the convenient grommet which is built into the side of the Fuel Tank. The grommet is a little tight, but with some effort a usb C cable can fit through without damage or modification. Not sure if a bigger USB 2.0 or 3.0 plug would make it through. I also run my ear bud's cable from the phone through the grommet and then out the bottom of the zipper to manage the cable length while riding. The Tank has nice mesh pouches built into its inner walls to hold things like wallets, keys, etc. It looks great on the bike and is easy to remove or slide out of the way if you need access to the stem. Great product, no complaints.

I have several different Topeak bags on my touring bike and this was my latest addition. I've had similar bags to hold my cell phone where the velcro wasn't long enough to wrap around the top tube and I had to use extra velcro strips to make up for it. Not so with this bag - the straps were plenty long to go all the way around. This is a perfect place to hold your keys, sunglasses, or other small personal items while riding.

(Please read the entire review)I was skeptical how this bag would work as advertised. It is made exceptionally well. There's plenty of room on the inside. It has a small pouch for keys. My smartphone barely fits. I wouldn't recommend it for large smartphones. The Velcro closures were placed just right. It has enough room to hold extra food, emergency supplies, and other stuff you would normally store in your jersey pockets. When I got it, I installed it on the top tube of my road bike and secured around the stem using the given Velcro straps. When I tried it for the first time, the first thing I did was to ride out of the saddle. It became apparent that the bag was interfering with the motion of my legs. More specifically, my quads. When I was in the saddle, it would occasionally rub the inside of my quads. I ended up removing it and never used it in that configuration again. I decided to keep it as I thought I might have another use for it, such as on my mountain bike. After thinking about it for a few days, I had an idea. I thought it might fit in a different orientation, on a different part of my bike. I was able to install it under the downtube, behind the front wheel and in front of the bottom bracket. It has about an inch of clearance on the left and right crank arms and chain rings. And about an inch of clearance from the front tire. In order to keep it from sliding down, I secured it to the front water bottle cage. The way I installed it, it does not chafe when I remove and insert the bottle into the cage. I tried it for the first time recently and it worked like a charm! No chafing, no interference with the componentry. The only drawback is accessibility. In this orientation, you can't reach and grab something out of the bag. Also, the zipper faces down. That means you have to invert the bike to unzip it and access the contents. I decided to keep it for my extended rides that require additional food and supplies. I hope this helps others that have the same issues as myself. I've decided to give it five stars as I believe I will make good use of it.Edit: I've gone through a few rides with the bag in the configuration I've mentioned above. My experience has been favorable. I brought it along for a ride when I had arm warmers on. I decided to remove them and put them in the Topeak bag. It wasn't necessary to invert the bike to access it. With minimal force, I was able to swing the bag to one side and that was enough to open the zipper and put the contents inside. I then pushed the bag back into its position behind the front wheel and that did the trick. It works like a charm. (just remember to close the zipper).

I looked a long time, researched a lot for a top bar bags that rest against the handlebar post. I wanted something that wasn't too wide so it wouldn't rub against my knees when pedaling... this is 3" wide and perfect. The Topeak Fuel Tank has really good room for lots of stuff, even my large Samsung Note 5 Edge phone. Inside has a Velcro divider (or move it to make just one large interior space), and a small webbing pocket inside. I find that the zipper opens and closes easily with one hand. When it's open, the sides of the bag don't flop over so there's no worry of anything falling out. The material is very rugged and top quality. The Velcro straps are in good places, offer a little flexibility for big or oddball top bars. The bottom front Velcro strap completely comes off so you can position the buckle in different places around the tube, and it slides fore and aft about 2 inches. The bottom back strap is attached to the bag and very wide, wider that the other bottom strap, and holds well. The front Velcro strap cinches nicely and the excess actually attaches to the right side of the bag that has a panel of the soft fuzzy material, so the end of the strap isn't flopping around, a really good design. You can tell they put some thought into the design and placement of all these features. The bag sits upright well and stays in place. I purchased the large bag and put this on my 2016 Trek Fuel EX 8 29er mountain bike. Since the bike doesn't have eyelet rack options, I'm limited on what I can put on the bike for bags (I'd rather not wear a backpack). I have a second medium sized saddle bag under my seat and now this fuel tank on my top bar - so together I have enough space to carry tools, spare tube, phone, keys, ID, food, really everything I need. I haven't had this in heavy rain yet to test how waterproof it is, but I'm pretty confident it'd keep the contents dry; the zipper looks water resistant. This bag completed my storage needs for riding the trails. Love it.Note: I did NOT get a discount for leaving a review. I paid the normal price Amazon had it listed for, so you know for sure I'm not biased in my review. :-)
