Like the bracket supplied with the bag this takes a lot of space, but it does allow using a Topeak bag on more than one bike.

Note that neither the Fixer 8 nor Fixer 8E come with rubber sizing pads for 22.2mm handlebars. These smaller bars are still common, and come on even some better bikes. I had to add shims made from old inner tube. Also note that fitting this part to handlebars takes a lot of tinkering to get the sizing pads lined up right, and is time-consuming. This is true for both the Fixer 8 and Fixer 8E.The product I received was fine, but the package I received was missing the rubber sizing pads and security cable. The box had obviously been opened as the added internal cardboard packaging was also gone. My guess is this was a return and whoever checks returns didn't take the time to check for missing parts. I should have bought from a real bicycle shop.I probably should have returned it, but I'm a handy type with scrap materials around, so I fabricated sizing pads with plastic sheet, and made a security cable from a gear cable. I'm trying to outfit two bikes for touring and I'm getting tired of the tinkering; I just wanted the job done already, so I made the needed bits. Still annoying, though.

Replace a broken bracket for Topeak handlebar bag. As good as the original that came with the bag.

I had an old handlebar bag that's been sitting on the shelf for years because the original Fixer 8 (not 8e) mount broke. I decided to try this one and was pleasantly surprised that it DOES fit the bag, even though I couldn't find any official statement or specs indicating whether the 8 and 8e had the same mounting interface. I like this one because the plastic bits that go around the handlebars are a bit thicker than the original 8, which is where my old one broke -- hopefully this one will last a bit longer.

Works so handlebar bag can be used on different bikes. Care needs to be used when installing clamp screws to prevent stripping. Installation kit should provide more rubber shims. I have 4 bikes and needed additional mounts to mount my handlebar bag on each bike. One of the screws stripped and I could not use the mount and had to cut it off the bike. Returned the bag and Amazon replaced the bracket. Amazon is great if you have a problem.

The security cable is difficult to install and makes attachment and removal of the bag difficult.

I've had a Topeak bar bag for 5 or 6 years and got a new Ebike this year. I was thinking I would have to go without that bag until I noticed the Fixer 8E. It has just enough width to get around the computer in the middle of the bars and lets me keep using the bag with the new bike.

We have three e-bikes in the family with three different model displays and this bracket fit none of them. All three displays are 3 3/8" inches wide across the handlebar clamps, which seems like an industry standard, yet strangely, this Topeak bracket is only 3" wide inside of it's clamps. Disappointed and will have to return it. We love the standard Fixer8 brackets and Topeak bags on our non e-bikes and this is equally well made. It's just puzzling that it doesn't straddle any of an assortment of displays.
