It works with the toothpicks it came with. However when I put in other toothpicks I had (box of 5000) it didn't work. The ones supplied are thinner. It's not as strong as the other ones I tried. It breaks easier.

I was really excited about this product, but I got it and it quite literally just doesn't work. Pushing the button doesn't make a toothpick eject from the holder. Also, the toothpicks it came with were splintered and in open bags.

I keep it on my crafting desk. I always seem to need a toothpick when I only have one hand free.this takes care of that problem smoothly and consistently. A true value.

I searched through so many options before buying this one. I always read reviews and appreciate the time that people take to leave one. I would say the largest complaint on any dispenser review was the operation of it and that tooth pics get stuck. I haven't had that problem with this one. I am a daily user of tooth pics and love this dispenser!! I find that a simple push of the button and quick release always pops up a tooth pic.

The product was very easy to use and works perfectly on the small tray where it is needed. Once there was an accident and the dispenser fell off the tray I was extremely impressed that everything stayed together with no toothpicks falling out like my last dispenser. This was the sole reason I searched for a product just like this! Very grateful for the ideal color and design. Product is also perfect and simple to use for my mom that has dementia and has requested toothpicks frequently. Now with this one item she feels like she can use confidently without any help from anyone. Great product for home & traveling use too.

I put the toothpick dispenser out for guests to use on two occasions. I watched as my guests discovered it and tried to make use of it. I was pleased to see that most of the time a single toothpick popped up to be taken. However, every now and then the device tried to present more than one toothpick and jammed. The fix requires pulling the device apart and clearing the problem. I also noticed that the jamming occurred when the device was activated with noticeable force. I suppose you can caution guests to take it easy when using it, but hovering over a toothpick dispenser does not fit well with entertaining guests. A minor re-engineering is needed.
