Founder's Story
Rick Dawsey worked his way through school as a tradesman, and never lost his affinity for good tools. He went into the drywall supply business in 1983, opening Valley Drywall Supply in Columbus Georgia. He quickly learned that it was hard to find good tools for Valley's customers, and went into a side business as a tool wholesaler to dealers across the East. Valley Drywall Supply grew into a five-yard chain which was sold in 1989. He stayed in the tool business, and it grew to over $20,000,000 by 2016, and has continued to grow ever since.
Rick's mission has never changed: To get the tradesman the professional quality tools he needs to do the job well, and on time.
ToolPro remains the oldest, the largest ,and the best known brand of drywall tools in the US, and retains the committment to support the tradesman with what he needs to do the job. Rick continues at work every day to ensure his promise of quality tools to the tradesman is fulfilled.

The tool is very well made. I didn’t notice that it will fit a 12” pan. Most pans you buy are 14”. I had to straighten the ends and bend them to hold a 14” pan. Very easy to do.
