I was pleasantly surprised how easy this worked. The flare now feels sturdy and looks pretty good. I did just melt some plastic over top of the staples just because I wanted to see how it worked. It heats up fast so make sure you dont keep melting it to the other side.

With so much plastic in our lives, a plastic welder is required.I've fixed so many things in and outside the house.Also, get a good pair of wire snips & a sanding block

This unit really can't be beat for the money. It heats the staples up quickly; red hot in about 7 seconds, but plenty hot enough to melt into the plastic in just 3-5 seconds. The shape of the unit is probably a bit more awkward than the gun style, but not bad, and the compactness is nice. The wrist lanyard is a waste, and gets in the way; removed it almost immediately. Overall, a good unit for the money.However...I got 1 bag of small squiggles, 1 bag of inside corner staples, and 2 bags of large squiggles. NO outside corner staples. Would've been nice to have all 4 styles, as described, but...Otherwise, great deal, and glad I purchased.

I liked this one over the others I saw because of its compactness. I'm glad I got this one it feels very solid. I've used it quite a bit and it doesn't seem to get real hot or anything either. It works perfectly every time I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good hot stapler.

my trash bin lid snapped, after being blown over in the wind, and I was able to staple the lid back onto the little bit of hinge left over on the bin, and its stronger than it was to start with. i had to use the whole bag maybe 50 staples, and then snip off the extra. but if you gave the patience to learn to use this tool, you will be able to fix and give life back to a lot of things that you would otherwise have to throw away. one tip is to not push too far into the plastic, because it will easily push through to the other side. once the staple is into the plastic, you should just stop pushing right away.

This worked so well I was almost surprised and how fast it got to heat. Feels very durable in your hand and easy to use and manipulate.
