Bent easily and the latch itself broke off from the handle within 40 days of install. Wouldn’t recommend and will never buy again.

I purchased these Toolbox RV Handle Latch Stainless Steel Tool Box Latch Paddle Locks for my Kobalt (Lowes) toolbox. The original latches became loose and would not lock reliably upon closing the lid of the toolbox. I discovered that the original latches did not have seals behind them either, but these do! These fit perfectly in the old latch cutouts and were easy to install. I had to drill out the pop rivets in the old locks, remove the connecting rod from the rod connectors and the entire lock comes out easily. Put the new locks in with provided seals and pop rivet the 4 corners of each lock into place (you probably could use a small bolt/lock washer/nut, but pop rivets are so much easier!) The only problem was, the old locks' rod connectors on each lock could not be removed easily or reused. These new latches do not come with rod connectors, but they do have the holes in them to accept the rod connectors. So, if your old latch locks have rod connectors (allows you to open both locks simultaneously by pulling on one lock handle) that are not designed for removal, you will want to order a "UWS Rod Connector" for each lock prior to installing. The UWS Rod Connectors I ordered fit these paddle latches perfectly. Each paddle lock is keyed the same. Very pleased with the new paddle locks as they are a big improvement over the originals. Easy to install but does take some time in carefully drilling out the old pop rivets (don't enlarge the pop rivet hole by using to big of a drill bit) and inserting the new lock and rivets. Don't forget to order the Rod Connectors separately (about $12-$15 each). Pleased....with the exception of no rod connectors being included!
