It has improved comfort and productivity and I recommend buying it.Sturdy and holds a stack of papers for edits.Would like some improvements:- However, it is 1 inch too tall for American 11x8 paper. Because of the, the top clamp cannot be used if paper is put at bottom for those clamps.- The side clamp does not allow the bar to be folded back. You must remove the whole clamp to see under it.

I work a lot from my bed, so wanted a stand to hold a manuscript. Also works to scan pictures using your iPhone, and to hold books. Iโ€™ve even put my phone on it and could put an iPad or Kindle if I had one.Very pleased with the quality, weight, removable clip , adjustable tilt and pedestal grip.Fair price for a useable and helpful product. I had one of these for 40 years and it finally cracked on me and couldn't be repaired with super glue or any duct tape. I'm transcribing my diaries and this works perfectly for setting up a book for transcription.

I am giving this 3 stars because the first one I purchased is amazing! I really like the clip, guide and prop style stand. I ordered a second for my office and it arrived with bent hinges and the pins rolling around in the package. Unfortunately, I could not bend the hinges back to fix it. I am unsure why these kinds of items are shipped in sacks. Clearly, based on the damage to the actual item's box, a sack is not sufficient packaging for delivery. Regardless, I have an undamaged version of this stand and it is durable, functional and a great value for the price. I have returned the broken item and a replacement (again in a shipping sack) was received in good working condition. As long as you can get one of these damage-free, it is totally worth the money!
