Instructions and tool is included. It provides 2 different height options for the top step. Seems very sturdy and love the bottom floor foot grips and step grips included. Feels secure and sturdy for littles to stand on their own, while next to kitchen counter or sink. And, Perfect find to avoid plastic items in your home!

The product was easy to assemble and is a sturdy good quality step stool. That said it does not work very well for my needs. It works for getting up to the potty but it is not tall enough to reach the sink. The boys also were nervous using it. I have had to purchase a different product that helps with both climbing up to the toilet and to the sink. It also has taller sides which helps my toddler grandsons feel more stable and secure.
