I transported my e-bike (Specialized Turbo Vado) over 2500 miles and while I also had a cover on it, this was probably more critical to protect the battery from the elements. Like some other reviews, it is a bit long and may contact the chain, they include the dimensions so you should check before buying. Mine was maybe a half inch too long but it was not a problem.

This covers the battery well easily. Great waterproof material. I added a velcro strap to the top of it to help stop rain from getting under it at the top. Maybe subsequent models could include a tightening strap at the top. Otherwise excellent.

Total asset! Quality material with solid stitching it's made to hold up to outdoor wear/tear.. dual sided this has merit but, nothing rough to scratch paint or bike frame.. A small $20 investment for bonus layer of protection over the pricy bike battery! Think of this as extra coverage like using a jacket in the elements: rain, direct heat exposure, dirt or dust.. even extreme cold temp's ha! its like a windbreaker/insulator!!!Fit is very liberal and size was ample on our larger adult 720 frame e-bike.. install took x2 min. to simply wrap the battery casing- and secure cover by its x2 hook and loop Velcro straps attached at each end. Note: we still have access to our charge port outlet on bottom end of battery casing- so, we don't need to remove cover to charge.. very convenient!Sleeve has a small built-in zip slide pocket on x1 side.. just big enough to hold a car/house key, debit card.. AirTag. We used to conceal a tag and put pocket face down- hoping its undetected if ever stolen. If so, it may stay in play to let us locate! Ha.. a secret bonus. Hoping info can help you- stay safe everyone.

I have often seen reviews that comment on the smell of a product and this has never bothered me. This item, I swear I was getting cancer from smelling it. It was REALLY STRONG and a really bad odor. I had it in the same room as I was after I opened it and my eyes were burning and I was getting a headache. I had to put it outside to air out for a few days. Truly, it was awful like nothing I've ever received in the past. Other than this, it did fit my bike pretty well. It was the correct size to fit around the tube that has the battery, but it was just a tiny bit long end-to-end. I think I might be able to make it work (as long as the odor goes away), but won't know until I ride with it on - it comes very close to the chain and might hit it. It's too bad about these things because it seems to be well made and a good idea to protect the battery. I am worried about the zipper being on the inside where it could rub against the frame and ruin the paint, so I might try to rig something up to protect it. Otherwise, the inside is a nice and soft material.

Covers up the hole where the battery mounts during transport, Keeps out dirt and dust. I guess it could be used for cold weather.

This past winter I put a set of studded tires on one of my eMTBs and started taking it out for rides on snow covered snowmobile trails. Of course the range suffered a bit from what Iâd get in warm weather. I saw a YouTube video by eMTB Videos that did some testing of battery covers like this one and he found that a cover could make some difference so I figured Iâd give this one a try.Build quality is good with a soft side that faces your frame and a tougher side facing out. Thereâs a zipper that would let you remove the neoprene insert though I canât see a reason to do so. The width of the insulated part of the cover is 12.5 inches, which means if thatâs the circumference of your down tube you can use it without modification other than making a couple holes to mount your bottle cage.The Velcro that is meant to close the cover runs lengthwise down the edge of the pad. If your down tube is 12.5â or larger you could get away with using it though if larger youâll lose some insulating factor there. My Giant Trance that I use for the winter rides has a circumference that goes from 13-14â so that is how Iâll end up using it. My Orbea Rise has a smaller down tube with a 10â circumference. For that bike the Velcro is useless if you want to keep a tight fit so to use this cover on that bike Iâd have to get straps to hold it on tight as shown in the picture. This cover would be better if it included a strap system that wrapped around the whole tube rather than the long strip that will only work on larger down tubes.

Earlier this year I brought my e-bike on a long car trip (over 300 miles). It was pouring rain the whole time. The return trip was not betterâŚpouring rain almost all the way. Although I was not traveling with my battery on the bike, I still hated the thought of what all that rain and splashing was doing to the connections inside of the battery compartment. Wouldnât it be great if somebody invented a bike battery compartment cover for travel?Lo and behold they did! Introducing the TMEOIIPY Ebike Battery Cover.The TMEOIIPY Ebike Battery Cover is promoted to protect the e-bike battery from heat and cold, but I selected it to help ward off the (wet) elements when traveling. The TMEOIIPY E-bike Battery Cover installs easily with hook and loop fasteners along its full length. It fits snugly. My battery is integrated into the down tube. I doubt that this cover will work with an external battery. I donât know if it is going to keep all of the water out of the battery compartment but the outer shell is neoprene so water will not soak through. I am sure that it is going to block a lot of crud and most of the water.I am going to be installing the TMEOIIPY Ebike Battery Cover on my e-bike, from now on, whenever I travel.
