I needed replacement Hole Saw Bits for my Hole Hogs and Hole saws, the MOLLOM Stepped Carbide Hole Saw Drill Bits are just what the Doctor ordered. The new MOLLOM Stepped Carbide Hole Saw Drill Bits fit my Hole saws perfectly, the mounting screw shelf is right where the original bits landed making these a true "Plug N Play" solution to broken or worn hole saw drill bits. I am very happy with the performance of the MOLLOM Stepped Carbide Hole Saw Drill Bits, they stay sharp, much longer than the H.S.S. Bits they replaced. Definitely a Five Star Product in my opinion.

Had a big bolt on my Ironmaster that sheared off due to 25 years of stress. This bit was able to start a pilot hole that I needed to eventually remove the bolt.

I like that these bits come with a set screw and spring apiece, and a couple of allen hex wrenches in the container as well. I guess I didn't have the MOLLOM hole saw, so the set screws didn't match any of my hole saws. The bits were too short for most of them as well, but as the second pictures show, they barely are long enough for a Milw**kee hole saw. The 6mm diameter is close enough to 1/4" to fit the bore, and I should have checked that 68mm was long enough before ordering. One thing which drill bits should do well is make holes. While wood was of course no problem, the step drill balked at its shoulder when drilling into aluminum plate. I guess maybe I'll need to level up again before attempting steel. While the bits will find a use and are nice to have in the toolbox, I don't find them suitable for my hole saws as I hoped, and wasn't impressed with their drilling ability.

Even if used for wood it can be used to countersink a depression for a recessed screw.

I was drilling vent holes in 26 ga. R-Panel metal. The carbide bit ripped threw it like hot butter. Although the metal must be secured to a backer board preferably 1-1/2" thick and wider than the bit. The only issue hade is the bits are to short to guide a long enough pilot hole to keep them from snapping off when the carbide teeth would get partially through the metal. Suggest either insert longer center bit into hole saw or purchase plenty of bits that come with the holesaw.

2 of the 3 broke before I cut 4 holes. Finished with standard drill bit.
