I have the TireMinder TPMS system that I use with my iPhone for monitoring tire pressures on my dual axles Airstream Travel Trailer. The original transmitters that screw onto the valve stems work fine but you have to pull them off, adjust the air pressure and then put them back on. Not a huge deal but because they depress the valve core to work the valve often sticks open when you remove them. I've tried replacing the cores with different types but it's hit or miss and valves that are stuck open are a PITA. One of my original transmitters failed after a year, and it was not a battery issue. The flow through transmitters are a much better solution. They still force the tire valve stem valve open in order to be able to read tire pressure but the valve on the other side allows easy tire pressure adjustement. Pricey, yes. Will I have one fail in a year, we'll see. The only disadvantage I can see other than cost and potential durability is that they do stick out quite a bit, this is more of an aesthetic than functional issue. Easy to install and set up. In my view these should be the standard.Overall the TireMinder system works very well. I set up the signal booster in a plastic "lock-lock" box that I zip tied a lithium Ion motorcycle battery and the booster into and drilled some holes for ventilation. I keep this in the front storage locker of my trailer. I get multiple days of towing between charges and didn't have to tie the booster into the camper electrical system. The receiver I have in the console in my truck and it works great with the app on my iPhone and with CarPlay on the display screen in my truck. Tire pressures and temperature are accurately displayed. So not a cheap system but it beats having a flat on the trailer an not knowing about it until it is too late.

These are great because you don’t have to remove them to add air. I bought them to replace two of the smaller sensors for that reason.

It is very difficult to reach the stems on the inner wheels. This makes it much easier to check pressure and add air

Makes putting the air in the tires easy. Only problem is it didn’t work for me to use on the inside tire on our rear axle. (Which is the hardest to put air in already)

If you like getting flat tires and not knowing about it, then these are for you! I had one tire fail on my trailer. I drove over 50 miles before the monitor displayed the pressure loss. Pretty much worthless crap from China.

They work and are handy but they stick way out from the rim on my tow vehicle

They pared first try with no issues at all.

Because the battery compartment is on the side, the flow-through Tire Minder cannot be installed on a common RV aluminum front wheel as there is not the clearance for the battery compartment in screwing the Tire Minder on.
