1.Size:1set Tool & 4pcs Tr413 Valve Stems

  • Essential Super Tools: Very simple and quick valve replacement tool, even when the tire can not be simply removed for modification and repair, this set of tools can come in handy; Suitable for cars, light trucks, small trailers, unicycles, lawn mowers, ATVs and motorcycles
  • Useful Toolkit: Each tool in the kit will perform its full function; The T-hook will quickly pull out the damaged valve stem, the tapered positioning tube will provide positioning when the new valve stem is installed, and the push rod will push the new valve stem into the valve hole and hold it in place
  • 201 Stainless Steel: All metal parts in the kit are made of 201 stainless steel, which can keep well even in a wet and oil-filled workshop, rust and corrosion resistant. But there is no doubt that all tools need to be maintained with care
  • Universal But Attention: This kit is for .453 valve stems only and will not work with 5/8" valve stems and will not work with tires with Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems(TPMS); The kit comes with 4PCS TR413 valve stems, so if that's what you need, you don't have to repurchase the stems
  • How to Use: 1-Please deflate the tire first, then insert the T-hook into the gap between the hub and the valve; 2-After the T-hook is inserted, rotate the T-hook so that it hooks over the valve and pull it outward; 3-Screw the new valve onto the pushrod.Apply lubricant to the bottom of the new valve; 4-Align the positioning tube with the valve hole and fully advance the push rod through the positioning tube; 5-Pull the pushrod outward until the valve is installed and unscrew it

Something knocked the stem out of my tractor rim. I ordered this stem, it arrived the next day. I put it in, and aired it up. So nice when something goes right.

It's funny how they took the time to write instructions on how to use this item, but step 4 is completely wrong. (It's copy / paste from step 1, and definitely doesn't fit). That being said, this isn't too hard to figure out how to use.First I tried the removal tool. Well, I measured it first. At 0.6 inches wide there's no way it was going to fit into the stem opening (0.45 inch opening). Rather than trying to fix the removal tool I just grabbed some pliers and pulled out the stem.Next, I got out one of the new stems, attached it to the install tool, and liberally applied some Dawn dish detergent. I then inserted it into the funnel and proceeded to try to insert it into the stem hole. I pushed as hard as I could, no go. Then I really put my weight into it, and snap, the plastic funnel finally just broke out the side. The valve stem had managed to go partway into the hole, but I couldn't get it in further.Once the funnel broke, it was game over. Good concept but that plastic funnel is just going to break, if not now, then the next time you try to use it. Maybe if they made it from steel... Even aluminum would be better. In the end I just removed the tire, broke the bead, inserted a new stem the normal way, added air, and re-installed the tire. That process was faster and easier than trying to use this worthless tool.

Item quality is much better than I expected and can be used again when needed. Fits conveniently back in its box for storage. Some folks complain about the hook but in my case I already had pulled the old stem out with pliers. It was a bit tricky to get the stem through the hole in the rim and mysteriously, the instructions don't give much detail on how to position the "funnel" (go on Youtube). Even with ample grease it does require the right amount of hard pressure with technique and you have to find the right combination of both for your application or it won't go in. I got it after about 12 minutes so be patient and eventually it will go in. I had to step back for a minute because I was tempted to just throw the thing across the yard and sign it off as a gimmick at first. Yeah, it will work and will be a handy tool to have around. Yes, it would still be cheaper and more convenient just to take the wheel to a mower shop but this tool will certainly do the job in a pinch. One caution though, wear a heavy glove when pushing the rod down because in the event you break the plastic knob you may drive the broken end through your hand thus ruining your beautiful holiday weekend (just an fyi) so I wouldn't hit it with a hammer or block of wood before applying hand pressure first. In conclusion, I would definitely buy this again because of the build quality, functionality and storability. I certainly wouldn't want the mfg to make a cheaper version that could break easily. May not ever need to use it again but its great to know you have it and Amazon shipped it to may doorstep before I woke up the next morning!

I watched some You Tube videos on this type of product and thought it was just too easy. I was right. Purchased this item to replace a cracked valve stem in one of my trailer tires. Received it the next day (great job Amazon). Getting the old valve stem was the issue. It's not as easy as the videos or directions showed. The T-shaped removal tool was cheap and weak! It struggled to get into the hole where the valve stem was and then it couldn't get it out. The rod on the tool bend way to easily and then the "U" shaped end broke off inside my tire! I was able to use a magnet to get it out. The install of the new valve stem was easy. Now this "T" handled removal tool is useless with no hook on the end! I would not recommend this item unless you want a one-time use item for a whopping $27.

The hook tool is sturdy and works well. The problem I have is with the cone used to insert the valve stem. I used the supplied valve stem with the kit and when I tried to seat the stem the end of the cone split, letting the valve stem expand and wasn’t able to seat the stem. Ended up just working it in with screw drivers carefully. Maybe it works better with different valve stems.

Buy It! this thing worked great for me. im living in a 31ft Toy Hauler trailer and the last thing i wanted to do was pull a tire off or tow the trailer to a tire shop. It took me about 4 tries but i got the valve stem in and the tire is holding air. i lubed everything up really good and also used a 45oz rubber mallet. im so happy right now. the quality of the tool seems good to me too. nothing bent. money well spent and waaay easier than taking the tire off or towing to a shop

I was able to change a valve stem in about 3 minutes without removing the tire from the rim. Had to modify the hook and the cone tool to fit my aluminum rim, but the hook bent easily and the cone is plastic so a few seconds with a sander had it small enough. Lubed the valve stem with dish soap, pushed through the cone and one small two with a hammer and it was in. Pulled up on the tool and the valve stem went right into place and aired up fine. Negative reviews were probably all user error.

I brought this product to prevent having to remove an atv front tire to get the valve stem replaced. The product had to be modified when I got it. The hook itself was too wide to enter the valve step hole so I had to narrow it with a hammer. The shaft of the hook bends easily, could be made of stronger materials. That being said, after modifying the hook, the product worked great removing the old valve stem and replacing with a new one.
