The display is half gone, right out of the box. I contacted the company and showed them the picture. They said they shipped a new unit out, I said that's great and thank you, it's been almost a month and still no replacement unit.

This was an additional purchase after buying one for another vehicle 17 months ago. The first is still operating flawlessly. The solar charging quit on this one within 30 days and Amazon is replacing it. I brought it inside to charge it and the alarms let me know that the sensors were out of range and the screen did turn from green to red. So it was nice to know that feature works.I don't worry much about the accuracy of the pressure readings that are displayed. I have a commercial grade tire gauge that I trust more than the TPMS or the one on the air hose because none of the three will agree with each other. I use the TPMS to know over a period of time if they all need to have air added; to see if a particular tire pressure varies three lbs or more from the others; and to have an alarm to let me know if one is leaking badly while I'm driving. Badly underinflated tires get hot quickly at highway speeds and the sidewall will blowout. Unless you have a TPMS to let you know that one is leaking badly while on the road, you are rolling the dice.Update: I bought this brand for my first TPMS more than three years ago, but it has INTERNAL sensor/valve stem combinations that mount INSIDE the wheel. Checking air pressure and filling the tires works just as it does without the TPMS. That system is still working great. This system - like most TPMS - has external sensors that screw onto the valve stems like the original valve stem caps. To keep them from working loose and coming off, there is a lock nut on the backside that has to be loosened every time that you need to remove them to check air with an air gauge or need to add air. As I said in my original review, I don't rely on these systems for accuracy - but instead, more to detect serious changes in pressure that would indicate a leak. Removing these sensors and re-installing them to check pressure or add air is a royal pain in the butt. After a year and a half, one of the senors came apart from so much handling and I just gave up with this style of TPMS. I will be replacing it with another internal system like my original that still works well three plus years later with the original batteries.
