For anyone that plays with either an E-trigger or a response trigger on a Tippmann, this hopper is what I'd recommend. When comes to garanteed feeding system for high rate of firing there aren't a lot of good options out there, I for one hate to mess with all the electronic hoppers that gives out a noise every time they are on, I play woodball and that just gives away my position. The cyclone feeder is gas operated so it only turns when a shot is fired and will always feed after a shot is fired, Tippmann advertised it can go up to 15 bps and I think that's probably low balling, but for the price this is sold for it functions a lot better compared to other feed options out there for full auto markers. Two things though about this system, 1. I use co2, and this system would stop feeding the balls when pressure drops below 300 psi, usually on the 20oz tank I use this system would stop working about 20-25 shots before the gun stops working, so if you ever see the piston stops moving when shooting, you are about to be out of air. 2. the system still relies on gravity so the gun still have to be right side up for it to feed, and when the piston moves the paddle inside the feeder after a shot there is quite a bit of shaking, so if you are low on paintballs in the hopper the shaking might throw a ball out of the paddle and get an empty feed. This happens only when you have less than 30 rounds left in the hopper. So overall I think this is the best/cheapest option to go with a full auto marker, installation is a breeze (took me 2 minutes) and it's a great upgrade for the price this is.

This addition to a Custom 98 ACT (non-platinum series) boosted the marker's fire rate and with the low profile hopper it worked wonders on the field.Pros:lowers the profile of a normal 200 count hopperquick feed ratequick jam clearing mechanismquick and easy installation (remove current hopper, remove gas plug on the side and then place cyclone feeder. Note: don't kink the gas hose)Cons:after 250rnds, paint breaks occurred, but i was using cheap 3 month old paintafter the breakage dry firing occurred after every 3 or 4 shot in a burstdoesn't work while shooting laterally to the right side (holding the marker out sideways)suggestions:since my paint broke i will upgrade with softer paddles, and try with new paint

WARNING: About the Cyclone and Salvo folding stockProject Salvo with a Cyclone rocks! But get the (E-grip)for it as well, or you'll never experience it's full potential.WARNING - Avoid Damaging your Cyclone Feeder when used with a Salvo. After you install a Cyclone (on a Project Salvo), the stock won't completely fold fully flush against the side. Instead, when folded it presses against and bends a push rod related to the air assembly that uses the air from each shot to spin the Cyclone's paddles that push the balls into the breech. It extends a few inches out the rear of the Cyclone - and the folding stock fold right onto it with a bit of pressure from the stock and the stock's spring responsible for locking the stock flush against the Salvo when used. This rod of the Cyclone is the only thing stopping the stock from going all the way flush and being slightly bent, easily damaged, and has broken in some cases because of it. Once you upgrade you'll see. So if you get the Cyclone for a Project Salvo (A MUST IN MY OPINION, look out for that, and consider the M4 type retractable stock.I changed to an Alpha Black type retractable stock. it saves about 3" in marker length as well - and being 3" shorter really does make a difference on the field when shooting, taking cover, and moving around corners, barriers, inside or around structures, windows walls ect.CONCLUSIONCYCLONE FOR PROJECT SALVOFor a Project Salvo, the Cyclone plus the E-Trigger (together) are the way to go. The combo brings out the full potential of the marker on the field. In addition, a non folding stock that wont break your Cyclone's rod, and that saves you around 3". All three as a unit are well worth working a bit of overtime or weekends at work for some extra $. The return on your $ is great. (MUST HAVES)for a Project Salvo - Period.

First off, I want to state how this hopper works with my 98 Custom. The feed at the bottom is offset to the side far enough to allow you to get a sight mounted higher. My marker is set up with a BT raised rail, like on an M16. I didn't order that off of Amazon. A RAP4 weaver mount screws onto the top, and then I mounted a red dot sight on that. The offset of the cyclone feed is enough to get the hopper out of the way, and with the raised sight it makes it easier to look down while wearing a mask. A scope can also be mounted to make a sniper. It provides greater ball feed than a stock hopper, and is easy to install, even on a older model 98 custom. If it's old enough, Tippmann supplies the replacement powertube, enabling the feed system to work.I think this is one of the better mods for my 98 I've bought. Even if it was only stock, being able to fire more rounds is the greatest upside I can think of.
