This came with a barrel too short to thread so is utterly useless and completely ruined my Valentine’s Day surprise gift.

You can not go wrong with a Tippmann. Great for beginner and experience player. My family and I have been paintballing for over 20 years and we always end up with a Tippmann, from the first single shot pump, 98,now Cronus. Tippmann is what you want

If you want a good starter paintball gun that's fun to shoot and looks pretty decent than the Tippmann Cronus is the way to go!

This is a hardcore piece of paint balling equipment. I bought it for my dad for Christmas because he said he had always wanted a paintball gun. I didn't want to buy him a cheap one, so I got him this. This gun feels heavy enough to be solid quality, but not so heavy as to be unpleasant, or hard to hold. You pick this up and you do NOT feel like you are holding a toy. It FEELS like an actual weapon. The construction is solid, the design is good, and the accuracy of the sights is...meh. We shot the hell out of the trees in the yard and it was delightful. I suspect that any paintball enthusiast or novice would get a good kick out of this gun.

Shoots really straight considering the barrel is only 9.75", the first thing you should do though is get a better barrel that's at least 12". I took off the side rails since I didn't need them and I think it looks a bit better without them. The grip is very comfortable even with bulky gloves on. I can't believe this gun is $79.00 all the employees at the field I go to couldn't believe how low the price for this gun is. Considering it's a Tippmann and they've been renting their Tippmann 98 Customs for years with no problems.

I just received this marker a few days back haven't gotten to test it out just yet but I think it's great it's a low cost but nicely designed paintball marker it might not be some $1000 paintball marker but it's definitely a Tippmann and I love the fact that you can customize it however you choose to. It's great for that beginner player like myself. Who is just looking to have some fun paintballing but not looking to spend there life savings to do so. I'd recommend this to any player or person looking to get into paintball.
