March 3rd: Product came used . I opened the box and the hammers head and end has dings and chips and Sheetrock residue… even some rust at the top. Weird. They are sending a replacement so we will see. 1 star until I get what I ordered .NEW NOT USEDUPDATE: March 4thThey sent me a new one. It just arrived. HORRIBLE . Horrible manufacturing. It’s new but Idk who made this but the top is supposed to be flat and there’s a huge dip! Not happy with this product at all. Advice… spend the $14 more dollars and get a estwing tinners hammer.

This is a well made solid hammer. I got it for some simple sheet metal work but mostly as a chipping hammer when welding. It has enough weight to give a good whack. The handle is formed of hard rubber that gives you shock absorption and fits your hand good.

This is in a great weight range where it can do almost everything a normal person would need with sheet metal. It is sturdy and well made. The handle feels solid and comfortable. I feel this is a safe tool.

We've lived on our property for over 50 years, and the house and outbuildings are almost double that age. Together we've changed the shake roof to a metal roof on our home, built a chicken coop and pen, and put metal roofing on them, we're getting ready to build a storage area for our lawn mower and ATVs, which will also have a metal roof. My husband repairs just about everything that breaks, and the tools we have available are important. It's always good to have the right tool for the job!

This metal-working tinner's hammer seems pretty solid and well-made, and could be useful in a pinch for a lot more than only working tin -- be it hammering in a nail or smashing some rocks or prying something loose, etc., if you don't have a more general-use hammer handy. It's on the lighter side, but that can be a good thing, depending on what you're using the hammer for. As another reviewer noted, the price for this hammer, while not bad considering it's of decent quality, seems a bit high for an unknown/generic brand like this, especially considering that very similar or higher-end versions of this type of hammer can be found from bigger name brands for around the same price or less. But if the price comes down on this hammer later, it could be more worthwhile.

I am an artist who works with lithographed tin and I needed a flat head hammer for deconstructing tin objects and flattening the tin for creative uses. This tool is very sturdy, comfortable, substantial weight but not too heavy, and does the job. Very happy with this product.

This is a nicely made general tinner’s and chipper hammer. Not really something you would want to use around welding due to the handle construction, but it will work if you are careful.Balance is good and the weight is good for general sheet metal work.I would recommend it.

This light-weight (18 oz) hammer can be quite handy for welding and sheet metal work. My other hammer is a bit heavier than this one and not nearly as comfortable to hold due to the cushioned handle. I do have to make sure I put it out of the way though since the handle will no doubt not be happy with flying sparks and hot metal. The hammer seems well balanced too. The only problem is that there was a chip on the tapered end so I may have to introduce this to my grinder if necessary. The hammer is a bit more expensive than other hammers, and about the same as the name brand (*wing) that I really like, and probably has better quality control and would not ship a chipping hammer with a chip in it.
