About this item

  • Cone (inner ring assembly) and cup (outer ring) combine to form a complete single tapered roller bearing
  • Supports both radial and axial loads between a rotating and non-rotating member
  • Operating temperatures range from -54 to 120 degrees C (-65 to 250 degrees F)
  • Stamped steel cage evenly spaces rollers for reduced friction, vibration, and noise
  • Open configuration for lubrication applied in place
  • Made of high-quality steel
  • Engineered for minimal rotational weight
  • Increases efficiency with minimal friction
  • Offers original equipment quality
  • Features high level of performance and quality

This Timken single cone and cup set with a stamped steel cage is a complete single tapered roller bearing suitable for applications that support both radial and axial loads. Complete single tapered roller bearing assemblies are generally mounted in opposing pairs on a shaft to evenly distribute loads. This bearing remains stable under temperatures ranging from -54 to 120 degrees C (-65 to 250 degrees F). The single cone and cup set is made of Timken's high-alloy steel for durability, heat tolerance, and resistance to deformity under heavy loads. The stamped steel cage prevents the rollers from coming into contact with each other during use, reducing friction, vibration, and noise. As part of a separable tapered roller bearing unit, this single cone and cup set has an open design that allows for lubrication and accurate adjustments. This tapered roller bearing is for use in high-load, moderate-speed applications that include automotive axle systems and conveyor systems in heavy duty industries such as mining, construction and agriculture, among others.

Rolling bearings use rolling elements to maintain the separation between moving parts to reduce rotational friction and support radial and axial loads. These elements can be one of the following types: ball, cylindrical, spherical, barrel, needle, spindle, or tapered. All rolling bearings are open, shielded, or sealed. Sealed bearings are lubricated with oil or grease in the bearing factory, while open and shielded bearings are meant to be lubricated in place, with periodic reapplication of lubrication, based on use. The shield protects the working parts of the bearing from environmental debris that may be introduced and could reduce the ball bearing speed and lifespan. Rolling bearings are used in a range of applications from agricultural machinery to conveying equipment, robotics, dental equipment, elevators, rolling mills, ship rudder shafts, and aggregate crushers, among others.

The Timken Company manufactures a variety of bearings, alloy steels, and related components and assemblies that meet International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards for quality assurance. Founded in 1899, the Timken Company is based in Canton, Ohio.

I rebuilt the front locking hubs for a 1994 F150 4x4. These are the correct bearings for that vehicle. Unfortunately, the spindle of the vehicle was just a little larger than the inside diameter, per my micrometer. I ended up sanding down the spindle to make it fit.

Arrived pretty quickly and they were easy to install (by the standards of this YouTube-educated weekend mechanic). Just make sure you have the right tools for the install (I used the cheap Orion bearing race setter and it worked perfect). It was my first time replacing bearings and it took the better part of 1.5 hours on each wheel. I installed them about a month ago and they work perfectly.

The best bearings in the business. Actually there are other very good brands out there also but Timken is definitely at the top of the list. If you need a quality bearing Timken is always a great choice.

Great price! These are hub bearings for all Land Rover Discovery 1's, all NAS Land Rover Defender 90's and others.Replacement for Rover PN STC4382/RTC3429.You need 8 to do both axles. At this price you can order one extra, just in case.Though you can use a regular round punch, a bearing punch is ideal for driving the outer races out of the hub.http://www.amazon.com/Mayhew-24550--20-Inch-Bearing-Punch/dp/B002YKMD54/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1411137426&sr=8-2&keywords=bearing+punch

Good quality product. Timken SET37 Bearing Set is an exact fit for my 4 wheel drive Mazda B4000 front rotors / hubs. Order 4 of these, one for the inner bearing and one for the outer bearng (x2 so that you have bearings for both sides).
