What Does a Timing Belt Do?
The timing belt keeps the camshaft and crankshaft turning at the correct rate.The crankshaft moves pistons up for compression and exhaust cycles, while the pistons move down for power and intake cycles. Depending on the vehicle make, a timing belt will also run the water pump, oil pump and injection pump.

hi there. all the parts were the right fit. but the water pump fail after 2 days of installation. the water pump pulley came of from the shaft causing the timing belt to brake loose , this mean that I lost all the work I have done to this engine. I won`t buy this product again

The piston on the auto tensioner is too long. It is possible to install, but much harder. you have to install the piston and the pulley at the same time. You must do this from below the vehicle so that you can see that they are aligned properly. If you install either first then the pin will be bent in front or behind the surface on the pulley. This is made more difficult because there is almost no slack in the timing belt.
