I have three medium sized, and two large tiki torches in my backyard. Because I just love the atmosphere they provide. The way I go through fuel, I wanted to get a larger container which usually means a better price than buying two smaller bottles. I thought this was a very good amount of fuel at what I thought was a fair price. Sometimes I just buy stuff over Amazon because I'm too lazy to drive to the hardware store. But hardware stores don't carry this large of a container. And if they did it wouldn't be this good of a price I'm sure.

I purchased the 128 oz citronella-scented tiki fuel and used it on our camping trip. We had 5 tiki torches set up around the site and 2 more on the tables. After filling all the torches and table sitters, I still had less than half of the fuel left. My only complaint is that the bottle needs a better pour spout, every time I filled the wide-mouth containers, some fluid spilled, regardless of how quick or careful I was while pouring. Also, you can't pour fluid back into the bottle unless, I'm assuming, you take out the regulator inside.The tiki fuel did a great job of keeping bugs at bay. We still ended up with a few bites, but I think that was because we didn't light the torches soon enough before the sun went down. I will buy this product again.

I got four of these to go around my gazebo. It serves its purpose bugs and mosquitoes stayed away. very useful.

I'm relatively new to the world of citronella/tiki torch fuel, but this seems to be working perfectly. I think you get a great value for the money, and it should last a while. Fuel itself burns for a nice long time, and doesn't give off any unpleasant smell in my opinion. There is a little bit of soot that comes off the top, but I wasn't planning on using it indoors anyway, so I'm OK with that. It doesn't look overwhelming or problematic, just kind of adds to the effect in my opinion. I can't speak on how it handles mosquitoes just yet, but as a tiki fuel in general, I think it's performing wonderfully so far. You also get a great amount for the money, and the poor spout is convenient. I would still recommend to use a funnel initially, because it is hard to pour easily in the very beginning when it's full, but after a bit, you should be OK with kind of free pouring it, depending on how large your reservoir opening is. All in all, I haven't had any issues with this so far, and it does what it's supposed to! Highly Recommended!

This bottle was shipped lying down in a box (with no other products) with air pak bubbles around it. There is plenty of space on each side of the bottle so it takes quite a few air pak bubbles to protect the bottle sufficiently. My particular bottle arrived undamaged. I could easily see how depending on who packed it and how many air paks were used to protect it, that when a truck stops quickly the bottle could slide (If it happens to slide enough times with enough force against the top of the bottle, then I could see the damage occurring that many people mention in there reviews.) I believe all these bottles are undamaged before being shipped by amazon (these are sold and shipped by amazon.) Amazon receives skids of these in cases with protection between the bottles, but then ships them loosely a bottle at a time as ordered. Each bottle has a push down and twist safety cap and comes with a protective seal to pull off under it when use the bottle for first time. The bottles pour easily and smoothly, they have a nice recessed area to grip on the back of bottle, they flow out a small hole which has another small hole behind it to vent. The liquid pours out clear, and doesn't smell much different then regular torch fuel (not a strong scent from citronella when wafting over bottle.) I use the torch fluid in pretty standard tiki torch canisters. The fuel burns for a good duration, constantly giving off a steady amount of 'black gritty smoke' the entire time its lit. Holding my hands about 2 feet over a tiki torch burning this fuel, while wearing clear plastic gloves it doesn't take long to notice the gloves start graying from settling residue on them. I can't personally smell citronella amongst the smoke coming off from these, but can only hope its effective against insects. It currently is much colder and there isn't much insect activity, I'll get a better feel for its effectiveness in the spring. As this doesn't burn clean and has a settling residue, I would not recommend using these directly on picnic tables, close to siding or near anything you might mind a film/residue forming on. I use this primarily as a perimeter around my outdoor fire pit.
