I got these for the goats so I can hear where they are when they get out (okay, only one gets out a lot.. lol)They are the perfect size and very lightweight, but seem to be sturdy enough to hold up to goat antics. The tinkling sound they make is about the perfect volume and tone - I can hear them as the goats move around, but it's not at all obnoxious.

Needed "sheep" bells for Vacation Bible School. These were the perfect size and surprisingly loud. I attached a jute loop to them to make them easy to hold. The children loved them.

We were looking for new bells for our detection dogs to wear after getting tired of Colgan's tearing off all the time. These are cheaper, sound better, and are louder. The only problem is that the clapper is held on by a thin piece of metal that breaks frequently. We have been using these for over a week and already had some break. One was even broken when we opened the package. I like them, but I wish they had been built stronger.Update: All of the bells have broken after a month of use. The ringer inside each one fell off. These would be great if they were made better. It seems like they were made as a decoration rather than a useful bell. I reduced the stars down to 3.
