Tiffen 40.5 to 49mm step up adapter for Sony alpha6000 work great on Sony SELP1650 zoom lens. Vignetting is negligible, even with the larger Hoya 49mm UV filter. A vast improvement over using the original 40.5mm UV filter, which had to zoom out from 16 to 18mm focal length to eliminate vignetting. Found the idea from Adorama website.BTW, camera setup using a 40.5mm rubber lens hood on the SELP1650 lens thread. Adapter fits threads on lens hood then the Hoya 49mm UV thin filter, results in negligible vignetting. Without the rubber lens hood, it is can work as a wide angel lens hood.

Good quality and does the job. Threads appear to be pretty smooth. Don't screw on too tight I had a job getting it off.

The step-up ring came in a generic cardboard box with no product description printed on it, just the generic: "Filters & Lens Accessories", the company logo a.s.o. The box was much larger than the ring. For a £22 step-up ring I was expecting a personalized box.The box was non-sealed and the ring was not wrapped in any plastic or other material. By carefully looking at the item I noticed wearing signs on the inside of the ring (i.e. the black coating was scratched in multiple spots revealing the silver metal underneath). Further inspecting the thread I noticed visible deformations on both small thread 40.5 mm and large one 49 mm.Comparing the small thread against another 40.5 thread I noticed significant global deformation. I noticed this kind of deformation either to very poor products (poorly manufactured), or after intense usage.The conclusion:Either this was an used step-up ring, I am not an expert, but I estimate this kind of product to be in this condition after several years of reckless usage. Or this is a fake product. There is also a slight chance that Tiffen cheaply produced this kind of rings, but in this case £22 is a rip-off.P.S.: I am a frequent buyer on Amazon and I never had problems with any items received so far. I bought this ring for Sony NEX 6, I bought about a month ago from amazon.de. No need to say that I have returned the product.
