like that they can be rigged in two ways. comes with short lines, too, for some reason. the cleat actually grabs pretty well, without using the grasping lug. you will need to climb up to release these, most likely, if you use the lug, too. i hoisted a 100# 17 foot Old Town right up with a pair of these.
