I really like this little bowl! I held a large one in a store yesterday and couldn’t get a decent sound from it, let alone a song. I’m brand new to this but I got a wonderful song from this little bowl already. Very happy with my purchase and look forward to perfecting my skills with this beautiful singing bowl.

I have experience with singing bowls of this size, but when playing this particular bowl on the supplied cushion, it doesn't resonate or amplify well. Encircling it with the rod while it's sitting on the cushion produces weak to no sound! While I enjoy encircling the bowl without striking it first to create a crescendo tone, it's fair to say that striking the bowl and then encircling it creates a lovely, slight crescendo tone that quickly fades once the encircling stops.I initially thought the dense cushion might be the issue, so I tried placing the bowl on a folded microfiber eyeglass cleaning cloth from Costco, and it worked incredibly well, producing beautiful loud crescendos with plenty of resonance. The cloth on top of the cushion also works, but not as effectively as it does on the microfiber cloth alone. The bowl also performs well on bubble wrap, natural excelsior, terry cloth, and velvet, but only so so on the burlap bag that comes with it.Considering the budget-friendly price, I decided to keep the bowl after discovering the trick to achieving a reliable crescendo tone. While it's not perfect and I certainly wouldn't gift it to anyone, if you're willing to experiment, it has its merits. The bowl sings a lovely crescendo tone and is the perfect size for my crowded desk. I especially appreciate the suede-covered tip on the rod which produces a cleaner sound than that produced by a rod without the suede tip.

So the first one that I bought I dropped too many times and it stopped working and now with this one I'm extra careful with it. It calms me down , clears the space in my home, brings in more light. I can feel that when I have negative energy and start working with my Tibetan singing bowl it removes that energy and helps to transmute the negativity from within and even outside of myself. I'm happy that I could buy this for myself. It's affordable and helps to give me peace.

I use this for vipassana meditations, usually only ring it when I notice my mind has wondered from my breath, and I must bring it back (I call them reps, like lifting weights lol)Anyway, of course it is small. The bell works fine, and I have had this for a while now.

I’ll find Tibetan bells bells very soothing. So after listening to many CDs of their sound, I just thought I’d buy myself a little gift and buy this silly little Tibetan bell. It did take some practice to get it to sing but I did get the hang of it after a very short amount of time, and I’ve gotten a lot of pleasure from listening to it for just a few minutes, and somehow it soothes me. I will play it just before yoga or just before meditation. I really enjoy it for such a little price it was worth it..
