The part is well-made out of aluminum. You really have to crank it down hard on your handlebars to keep it from turning though. Really needed to come with some slip resistant grip tape. I have two complaints about this product. First one is minor and they do talk about it in their description as far as what size phone can be used. The knob opens it wide enough to clip most phones to it but the pieces of rubber that go around the four corners of the phone the only fit the iPhone mini. I feel like it should be able to at least handle the medium size iPhone, but it does not.My second complaint is more major and the reason I gave it such a low rating. I ordered two of these devices and the first one installed as they expect it to. The two screws go through the top plate and thread into the pre-threaded bottom clamp. When I installed the second one I purchased on another bike, the bottom clamp plate had not been pre-threaded, and there was nothing for the bolt to thread into. I had to go to the hardware store and buy bolts with nylon nut in order to secure it to the bike.

The mount hold my phone (Samsung S22 Ultra) very securely with very little vibration. The mount is a little annoying having to screw the holder in place every time but I haven't had any real trouble with it. Attaching the mount to the handlebars is easy enough, no real issues there, two allen screws and done. The only issue is the rubber stopper on the edges of the holder, the part that make contact with your device, can easily come off so watch that bit if you purchase the product. Worth every penny.

This phone mount has a nice solid grip on my medium sized Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge phone with an impact resistant latex (?) case still on it and it has a very small profile. The adjustable width cranking lock and metal frame are solid. It can be a little tougher to unscrew it, to get the phone out, but I think that's a good thing because I doubt it would ever unscrew due to vibration.Cons: too bad they didn't make a touch sensitive, rainproof model with similar quality design, cause I'd buy them both.Problems: the only problem I had was with the advertisement description. I think the model with the black rubber grip has less depth for a phone and the one with the orange has a grip that is 50% taller. I would have preferred the black one, but if I'm right, my phone would not have fit in the rubber grips of the black model with it's case on, and I'm not taking my case off. Some of the reviewer's photos tipped me off on that (Thanks guys!)I am quite happy with this phone holder. I'd absolutely recommend it to a friend and buy again in the future. Hopefully this helps. Happy Ridin'!

UPDATED: seller sent new and improved phone holder. The rubber pads are much tighter now, so with this I now give five stars. Seller communicated well and wants to make things right. Thank you!!The holder is machined well and precisely. It was easy enough to install and the rubber strap thingy held the phone securely in in the holder. The problem is that the little orange rubber spacers inside the phone clamps aren't attached to the holder securely. They all fell off easily and I tried to glue them back into the holder them but they're silicone so the glue didn't stick well. Then one fell out again, and now there only three and the phone sits unevenly in the holder. Disappointing. I ditched the holder altogether and now just use the rubber strap to secure the phone to the handlebar. Works just as well. Didn't budge during my recent bumpy 24 mile ride.

I have a iPhone 13 max with a otter box on it and it holds it right. This is an amazing product it’s tight to get on but given that it ain’t bouncing off when you ride. I never have to use the rubber straps because it fits my 13 max right but if you have a smaller phone and do mountain biking it’s the must has holder I’ve gone though many other types and they bounce off and theirs your phone on the ground. This is well designed light full aluminum not cheep plastic. This thing is amazing I get so many complements from the design even when I ride with out the phone people notice the quality of the product. This is not plastic like most it’s all aluminum. Very well designed and my phone has never fallen off.One thing I like is you adjust with Allen nuts not those silly plastic side screws that never stay tight. Once you lock the size in its not changing or slipping. I’m constantly righting the cheep plastic one in my car. This is a strong buy. And keep one in your cart because your friends will want to know where you bought it trust meOh yea you can rotate the holder vertically or horizontally depending on your map view this is a plus if you use it for gps maps.

- Built of good materials- the rubber grip thingy is what keeps the phone in place.Issues:-It doesn't grip the handlebar well enough to stay in place. It slips from time to time.-The side presses the buttons on the phone and has turned off my phone several timesI'm thinking I can just get a rubber thingy and it would be less bulky on the bike.

Went on easy enough. I am mounting this on a Honda CB 650 motorcycle. I had little room on my clip ons to mount it so this has a very narrow mounting point, which is initially why I chose it. Seems very sturdy . I have tested it at speeds a little over 100 mph and it did not budge.I love how it has around 10 or so positions that it will actually click into, so there is a lot of adjustments to make it fit like you want it to.I used to use these types of phone holders for my mountain bikes only and would use the RAM mounts or quad lock on motorcycles , but I seriously think this is just as good, just as secure at a fraction of the cost. May take a few more seconds than the RAM mount to put phone in and take out, but $25 compared to $130 is a deal. BH
