Can't leave syrup in it for too many days or gross stuff grows under the seal. doesn't pour that well and leaves drips down the side. I'm not that sloppy and it made me feel sloppy.

It is what it should be. Dont want ants? Put it in the fridge like you should. Does it leak? If you lay it on its side. Does it get sticky? Of course, wipe it off like an adult. Can it break? It is glass! It is what it should me: glass bottom, metal top, and not idiot proof so do not be an idiot and leave it on its side or out for the ants (addressing most of the complaints I see on this product).

If held at the proper angle it will not leak. Do not try something fancy. Easy to clean. take top off bottle and wash in hot water.

Love this little carafe! I use it for cream. That way I can use it on the table and then put it back in the fridge without absorbing fridge odors. The cover is secure. Looks nicer than I thought.

I needed something glass for honey and Lyle's golden. Treacle is messy coming from the can and I don't want the new plastic bottles they use now. This was a perfect solution and works very well
