1.Turn your car off for at least 5 minutes and keep key fob at least 35 feet from vehicle.
2.Locate throttle sensor plug and disconncet.
3.Plug in pedal throttle controller until you hear a "click".
4.Stick on the Velcro adhesive and attach pedal controller.

This is just as good as the Pedal Commander for hundreds cheaper and looks identical but without the name. Definitely, makes the throttle more responsive and fun to drive. Prior to install the Tacoma is unresponsive and boring to drive with lots of lag. Driving in Sport mode is a must.

I learned about the throttle assist products from another brand and then I decided to search for other brands available and came across this item. I don't need the Bluetooth function and this one was also way cheaper. It gets rid of the throttle lag in my 09 Tacoma and improves response and helps with performance. It has also seemed to improve my gas mileage a little. My truck is a lot more fun to drive and I'm glad I bought this product. I have tried all of the settings and change between settings depending on the driving conditions.

I received nothing but issues with this item! I looked online and turns out this product has no certifications proving that it has been quality tested and is poorly made with cheap materials. I really tried to like this product but with the engine codes, the loss of throttle response, and the lack of safety I am not wanting to ever put this in my vehicle again and do not feel safe having my kids in a vehicle while this unreliable knock off throttle controller is in my Tacoma.

Was honestly skeptical about this since it's Commands version was 150 more. But all doubts casted aside. Works like a charm and eliminated that pesky throttle lag. Different settings for different driver so choose carefully😉

The simplest way to think of this device is as an adjustable "sport mode" button. The range of settings span entirely from barely noticeable to making the throttle extremely sensitive. On my FJ Cruiser, I run it in Sport mode on the second level. This makes the pedal much more responsive on tip-in, but not overly sensitive. It drives like a more modern car, and anyone unfamiliar with the throttle response of an FJ who drove it for the first time wouldn't notice anything out of the ordinary. This product is simple, but an incredible value in terms of improvement in drivability. Highly recommended.

Was pretty skeptical but have wanted one of these things for years. 2016 Tacom OR and have loved the truck but the throttle lag drove me absolutely insane. Debated selling the truck over the years because of that. I had always seen these plug and play kits but never thought it would make that much of a difference. Took 2 minutes to install and immediately was blown away by how much better it was. I’ve only been driving around with it for a day and already love it, just kind of playing around now with all the different modes and settings. Well worth it and the price at a 1/3 the cost of the competition amazing. I’ve put close to 200k miles on this truck and now I’m mad I didn’t do it the day I bought it

I went with this over the Throttle Commander simply based on price. The circuitry is virtually identical, just didn’t need the Blue Tooth capability and definitely didn’t want to spend $300 for a tool that I could get for a third of the price. I have to say, I’m extremely impressed with the functionality. This thing produces noticeable performance improvements. Shockingly noticeable. Buy it, you’ll be happy you did.

This thing works! Buy it, you won't regret it. My '20 Tacoma always felt sluggish even with a CAI and performance exhaust. I recently thought about the popular pedal and tune products available. I found this pedal controller and now feel the Tacoma is how it should be from the factory like how many have written. I was really getting tired of the short shifting and then kicking down just to repeat. It's relatively easy to install even if you are not handy. My install was not as simple as hoped though. The connector did not snap into the pedal on the first try. I had to remove the pedal with a 10mm wrench and turn it upside down. A white plastic piece came out of the pedal socket that obstructed fitment. Once this was out, the connector fit no problem. It's ~20 minute job. 1 star difficulty out of 5. The City mode +3 is what I settled on. 5 stars if the cable was longer to allow placement options. Love the price compared to other products and can't say I would be willing to pay more for Bluetooth. I am happy with this product so far.

Alot of people don't like these throttle controllers but it woke my Tacoma up... alot and is definitely an upgrade you will not regret, easy to install and great quality!
