The barrel nuts fit the listed threading perfectly fine, no issues going onto a threaded barrel. The material feels high quality and there is no issues with installing and removing them.

Good fit on the threading, knurling is just right. Didn't use the crush washers, but they look fine enough to keep in my spare parts bin.

I am constantly needing more thread protectors, so I frequently buy a couple here and there when I find a good deal on them. I have quite a few barrels with 5/8 threads so I need a bunch of these thread protectors. Plus, it seems like I always end up losing several of them throughout the year. I have been pretty happy with this pair of thread protectors so far. They seem to be made well and are good quality for the price point. I like having protectors like these that are knurled for grip and also painted black to help reduce chances of rust. Overall, I'm happy with these and have no complaints.

There are some accessories for your pistol or rifle that require a threaded end to connect to (muzzle brakes, flash hiders, noise cancelling devices). Sometimes you may need to change the thread size for a particular device, if this is the case, you may need these "1/2x28 to 5/8x24 Thread Adapter Alloy Steel with Crush Washer (Black -2pc)", available on Amazon. Weather you need these or already have a threaded end; you will want to protect those threads. These thread protectors will do a great job of that. They come with "crush washers", not that they need to be tightened that much, but you will want a nice snug fit. These are just another one of those cool little items to keep in your parts bin for that "just in case" moment.
