These strings brought the sound I was searching for.The description and the image are wrong.I received a VE4142 package, not the VES4142. The image corresponds to the VE400.Now I wonder wether the VES4142 would be a better fit or not.

Klang laut, etwas rau. Es dauert lange, bis die saite die stimmung hä!t. Preis ist ok. Ich habe von versum noch die g saite, allerdings in soloist version, deren k!ang ist wesentlich "runder".

I bought the D string to complete a set. I have previously used Larsen and Pirastro Permanent strings on my modern cello and whilst I wouldn’t say that Versum are necessarily better, I’m very pleased with the sound.
