About this item

  • 4/4-size Violin String Set with Removeable Ball-end E String

Reference-standard Violin Strings Violinists demand two things from their strings: impeccable tone and unyielding reliability. With Thomastik-Infeld's Dominant violin strings, you get both. For starters, their extra-flexible, multi-strand synthetic cores exhibit warm harmonic textures that rival gut strings. Beyond that, Dominant strings deliver consistent, humidity-agnostic pitch stability — a must for touring violinists. Violinists at Sweetwater appreciate the long life of these strings. Even after hours of heavy use, Dominant strings maintain a rich, clear sound that's ripe with ear-tickling overtones. Thomastik-Infeld has been producing high-end orchestral and fretted instrument strings for more than 100 years, and Dominant violin strings are some of their best — a reference standard if there ever was one.Thomastik-Infeld Dominant Violin Strings Features: Extra-flexible, multi-strand synthetic cores exhibit warm, gut-like harmonic textures Rock-solid, humidity-agnostic pitch stability — a must for touring violinists Maintains a rich, clear, overtone-laden tone over a long string life Widely recognized

These are just a great string for a violin. I can 9-10 months of them before I notice the volume start to fade. These sets might seem a bit more expensive then cheapie sets (for beginners, like me,) but they sound great for a long time and in reality are way cheaper then my guitar strings (where a set might last a couple weeks but rarely a month.) I learned in my first year of playing that cheap strings are not worth the effort compared to how good Dominant's sound. FYI this is my fourth set so that might tell you when I pulled the instrument out of the closet to finally learn some scales.

Nice set of strings! I got these as an emergency back-up for rehearsals, and was not disappointed. Dominant strings have been a staple for many years, they sound bright but not too bright and are very durable. Recommend for any students or new violinists!

I ordered these strings because my daughter’s violin teacher picked it out for us. He replaced our strings for us too. He said the price is reasonable as well. My daughter is enjoying her violin even more now since the sound is improved.

I put these strings on my wife's Violin and she loves them. Much better sound than the original strings and the cost was really reasonable compared to other brand strings. I'll be buying these again.
