To use, pour mineral oil directly onto cutting board surface, then use the sponge applicator end to evenly spread the oil or wax across the surface of the board. Be sure to apply oil or wax to both sides of the cutting board for best results. The ergonimic beech handle provides an easy grip to make sure the oil can get onto the sides and ends of the cutting board as well. When done, simply place the applicator cap back over the sponge for a mess free clean-up. Thirteen Chefs recommends oiling your cutting board every two weeks or whenever it begins to look or feel dry to the touch. This works so well spreading oil on my cutting boards, and it’s easy to wash with some dish soap and warm water. Much more convenient than using rags or paper towels that absorb too much of the oil

Great and easy to apply mineral oil to my wooden cutting boards! I like the little cup that it is stored in, which prevents leaks and other nastiness. There's no smell, and the design makes it easy to apply.Now I don't have to keep clothes laying around!

Purchased this to apply mineral oil to all my wood cutting boards and wood spoons and I must say this applicator is absolutely worth every penny! This little baby allows the mineral oil to be applied easily and quickly while doing a very thorough job. The applicator also makes it fun while doing jobs you wouldn’t normally consider to be fun. I’m very pleased with how it applied to every kitchen item. If I had to hand apply the mineral oil it probably would’ve taken me an hour to get everything done and I accomplished my tasks in about 15 minutes.Time will definitely tell how it will store until the next time it’s used, I’m hoping to not see any breaking down of the sponge or any mold, should any issues occur I will include an update.

I used to spread oil or cutting board butter with paper towels since I couldn't be bothered making fabric oily for my cutting boards. Consequently they also got very little love. This oil sponge made it so convenient though! You CAN clean it as well which is nice, and for me more comfortable than making sure a piece of fabric is clean enough to use on a board before and after use. With this I can handle several boards in a short time. The entire thing also looks super cute so it won't hurt your aesthetic if you leave it out but it's also small enough to store away conveniently. Happy to have this! My cutting boards are equally relieved!

I ordered this oil applicator for my kitchen cutting boards. I use some food-grade mineral oil on my wooden boards and previously this routine maintenance would always make a mess. If I use a paper towel, I start to get little shreds falling off. If I use a rag, a lot of oil is soaked up and wasted and I have an oily rag I have to deal with after. This applicator is a lot more compact and has its own case. Because the applicator is foam, it also makes it easy to get into crevices.

This little gadget has a little foam sponge which helps to spread the oil when applying mineral oil to the wooden cutting boards. It looks pretty in it's little metal enclosure. I worry about the longevity of the brush. Looks more like the shoe polish applicator you get for free when staying at luxury hotels and that one doesn't last too long. Otherwise I am happy with this product.
