I really like this file as it open wide at the bottom as well as wide at the top! I had some bulky warranties and instructions for devices that needed to be organized, but most accordion files don't open wide at the bottom. This file has a very sturdy outside with a handle to carry if I need to do so. The inside dividers are not a heavy plastic, but will serve as long as there is no rough handling of the material, taking it in and out of the files themselves. The tabs are nicely done, melded all one piece with the dividers themselves and are easy to put the "titles" of each section in them if one wants to do so. I've decided to get a 2nd one for travel maps and brochures just to organize those items for future road trips.

The biggest problem with this is that once you file a regular sized piece of paper, you can no longer see the tab headings. The tabs should be tall enough to stick up above the papers that are filed. It also seems flimsy and not as sturdy as I thought it would be. Each section is not very large, so if you are wanting to file a year's worth of paperwork, there is not room for it.

I needed something to organize my different grades of sandpaper (I do restorative work on antiques/furniture). This accommodates all the different sizes, dimensions, thicknesses perfectly... and still allows the elastic closure to reach across to secure it closed. It opens to a VERY large depth - which was surprising. Durable, but not super durable. It's your basic "made in China" type product. The jury is out on whether or not it will last long, as it will be used more often than, for example, if it were holding paper documents. I would recommend this though if you need to store a lot of work documents, cards/letters, photos, craft supplies or, as in my case, sandpaper. :)

I purchased this along with some file folders. Everything worked out as expected. Certainly helped in organizing bill, insurance papers, etc.
