This is the second time I've reviewed this product and my opinion hasn't changed. It doesn't work as advertised. It doesn't do what a "thimble" is supposed to do ---stop a needle from coming in contact with your skin. I tried wrapping it around my finger a multitude of times and the needle still pokes through to my skin. Other than that the fabric is easy to get on your finger. There is a stickiness that is nice because you can unwrap it and reuse it another time and it also can fit your finger quite well. There isn't really what I would call a "value for the money" because it doesn't stop the needle from coming in contact with the skin. I ended up putting a thin strip of leather around my finger and then held it in place with the Thimtec strip. It works that way but it is cumbersome.

This is so convenient! I have small hands and itβs difficult for me to find a thimble that fits my finger. This is perfect and really works. You can reuse the tape thimble over again, until it just gets dirty. It sticks very well and you donβt have to use a very long length to get the durability to push the pins. I highly recommend for sewers.

great idea.......I use it for hand sewing and no thimble needed. I have issues with thimbles all the time, too small, never just right.

I like how easy this is to use and my ability to customize the fit. The only negative is that I use slender needles, and in order to ensure the needle doesnβt poke through the tape, I have to use several layers, making the thimble a bit bulkier than I would like. Still, a great alternative to traditional thimbles.

I am just stunned how well this works. Recieved it in mail today( faster than expected !) Thought no time like the present to try it out. I mended a tear in my husband's outdoor jacket, pushing hard through tough material. No sore fingers! It molded nicely to my finger and stayed in place! My finger didn't get all sweaty either. Great product!

I do plenty of goldwork on my sewing project. When I couching in a circle, sometimes I have to take off my thimble to adjust the gold threads lie flat and parallel without crossing or untwisting. I found this thimble tape thinking I may be able to give it a try bc Iβm so tired of putting thimbles back and on so many times. I read the instructions, and it took me a day to figure out how to properly use this tape, bc I realized I use multiple fingers to help my hand to do the job. I applied about 8 inches on my right thumb, and about 10 inches on my right index finger, also I added another 5 inches on the top of my fingertip. I also applied 10 inches on my right ring finger, but did not cover the fingertip. I then added 8β on my left index finger, bc I realized this gives me a really good grip to pull my thread and hold the gold. And the tape does not stick to any threads or fabric, bc itβs self-adhesive. I completed 1/4 of my work without knowing, which means a lot as a fiber art artist. It's a great idea and product to help fiber art artists complete the art piece.
