Bought this to replace my old school 2 wire thermostat. Home Depot and other local stores didn't have this 8 wire thermostat. I used this for my Google Nest Learning Thermostat so my 2 stage forced air furnace is able to run both fan speeds now and use AC. It's also able to run a dehumidifier if you want to add it on too. You need 8 wires on all new/modern HVAC.I wish you could order it by the foot because it's expensive and I'm left over with 17'

I received this line in hopes of running it to the basement and hooking up a smart thermostat. Had this on the shelf for a while and when the HVAC guy checked my furnace for the season. I mentioned that I had this new copper wire to run and he said I didn't need it because the one I had was already a 5 wire run. So I happily donated this wire to him for use in another job. He looked it over and I showed him the listing and was happy to use it to give to another client. I'm not going to use it, but someone else will need it.
