Gaming revs up your CPU so much that it generates a lot of heat. Getting that heat dissipated quickly can be the best thing that you'll ever do for your system and perhaps extend the life of it, too. Before this product, my temps were at the 80s. Now, I haven't even seen the temps go past 70! I'm glad I got this!

So you bought a new chip and spent all that money on fancy parts, and you’re gonna put it in the stock flimsy lever thing that came with your motherboard?Do yourself a favor, buy one of these. It’s the cheapest part in my computer, yet it’s one of the most functional. Makes cleaning the goop off your processor a breeze (which will pay off in the long run, trust me), and looks great to boot. It also secures your fancy new chip way better than the lever mechanism that comes on your motherboard. Definitely worth the $

I didn't see any noticeable temp decreases that couldn't be considered margin of error, but I really like the aesthetics of it, and the protection against thermal paste spillover is quite nice.
