The impact resistant, weatherproof ABS design is especially useful when installing the 70V to outdoor speakers in a commercial setting. Cable seals prevent shorts caused by moisture, and corrosion is kept to a minimum. Easy set tap selections of 2.5, 5, 10, 15, and 20 watts are available when used with an 8 ohm speaker on 25V, 70V, and 100V systems.

Like Hwyman456 said. If you do commercial audio and have to use these, they are well made from a installation standpoint. Nice screw contacts et al. But out of the 6 I ordered - two were bad. So order extra.

They are HUGE, much bigger than expected. I am using these outside in the garden for a large speaker system.

Looks and feels very well built.I selected the 20 watt option (I have 20 watts speaker) then I connected the output side to the 8 ohms receiver terminals and the speaker I connected to the input side.Works like a charm!

I added this to a 70v line for outdoor speakers and was able to run a non 70v speaker just fine. Works like it should.

Very easy to work with and to adjust the "tap" as needed. Only side note if the transformer in in line with others the "input" labeled side transformer will have 2 cables passing thru the weather right strain relief (used 10 of these for an outdoor festival - worked very well)

In my experience of using these about 30+ % do not function work properly.Though they are necessary to make 8ohm speakers work on 70volt circuits. Also they are not very weather tight for something that lays in the landscaping. Use lots of dielectric grease or put inside or an enclosure and run direct burial wire to them.I would prefer to not use them at all but it seems like almost no one makes 70v landscape speakers . . . .

It's a nice packaged unit and works great, but priced too high.

No instructions, does not function as expected. Tried google help and got some replies, but all had different applications. Did get it to do what I needed to do, but not as well as it should function as using a 70 volt transformer in reverse.
