Thea Gouverneur started counted cross stitch design in 1959 from her hometown Sassenheim in the Netherlands. She is now one of the leading cross stitch designers and her designs kits are sold worldwide.
Growing up Thea was always surrounded by bulb fields and flowers and these flowers became a great inspiration for her designs.
"People sometimes ask me where I get the inspiration for my designs, a question which never fails to surprise me. I always answer: look out of your window and you will see inspiration everywhere - in gardens, in hedgerows, in fields, woods and hills. There are so many beautiful flowers, plants, bushes and trees growing, that there is not enough time to stitch them all".

Nice Kit but the Black Backing is so difficult to see the holes to find the place to thread the needle it almost impossible to complete.We end and bought a Neutral Beige color backing instead to be able to complete this.Be Warned.

Kit très bien emballé, fils et toile de qualité. Il manque cependant le numéro de référence DMC de chaque fil pour pouvoir en racheter si besoin.

This is a truly stunning project. I didn’t realize how difficult the black would be to work with. Purchased a neck light to be able to see it well enough to work on.

Everything included. Pricey, I think for the kit, but you're paying for Thea's name. It is also much easier to cross stich on 18 count aida, than on 28 over two strands.

Quality product and pretty quick shipping. I haven't completed the stitching so I can't say whether or not it's complete, but I assume it is. Well-packaged kit.
