I bought two pans before this one: first one in cast iron, great size but too heavy; second one, great weight but too large. This one was the goldilocks version. It is well made, light and fits one large steak (or two smaller ones) or 2-3 chicken breasts perfectly. For a single person, the size is perfect.I've just used it once. It sears very nicely and cooks evenly with the lid on. It does get extremely hot and the handles will burn you. The steak I cooked came out evenly cooked but too well done - I'll have to adjust the temperature and cooking time for this particular pot. I added some sliced, cooked potatoes to the pan and cooked them along with the steak. This will be a great pan for lots of different meals. I replaced my George Foreman stove-top grill with this pan. I like the GF, but over the years I've dropped them or they stopped working, or they're just a pain to clean and bulky storage. The Whatever Pan will replace the GF and do so much more.

Love this grill pan, works great on meat and veggies. Only concern handles become very very hot , do not touch handles when cooking!

LOVE this Whatever pan! Originally purchase one for a friend as a gift and then we got one. I use it so much more than I thought I would, truly! The non-stick is actually non-stick and as it's lightweight makes it easier to move about. I have many All-Clad SS pots and pans (very nice) and a few copper French fancy pans for when I'm feeling saucy, but this pan with the raised grill and the glass lid is perfect for many uses. We used it tonight for turkey burgers. I needed a 'roasted' sweet pepper (long one not as fat at a red bell) and put the entire thing in there on low (watched it of course) put the lid on and roasted the heck out of it till soft, luscious, sweet and even had dark grill marks on it. Yummy. Let it sit and peeled it easily for the dish I was making. Roasting veg in there, all kinds of meats, OH, I did chicken thighs bone in, skin on BBQ style - if you're not grilling/BBQing outside it's a fantastic option. Love this thing! - The handles get very hot - true - even with the red silicon protective thingys that I purchased with it. Use hot pads people. Those work fine.

This is a fantastic griddle. The cooking surface is like iron and I wish someone made an entire line of pans with this same exact surface. Makes nice grill marks and cooks very evenly as you can see in the picture of chicken breast cooking. The glass lid is nice to have but I wish it was domed stainless steel. We bought one for us and one for our daughter in her first apartment. Also, as we get older we are getting away from large pans, so the regular size is just great and fits our large gas burner well. The cooking surface really is bulletproof - to an amazing extent. A bit of oil ensures nonstick. Clean up is just using a nylon brush and sponge.

Nice, decent weight, oven safe and very versatile for stovetop cooking. I've used this pan to make grilled cheese sandwiches, grill hotdogs, hamburger patties, sausage links, and scallops. Haven't yet tried grilling chicken or steaks, but I'm confident those will turn out perfectly as well. I've even used it to re-heat leftover pizza with the lid in place. This is a purchase you won't regret. Cleanup is a breeze. Dishwasher safe. Side Note: Don't bother with the cookbook. In my opinion, it's useless. Let your imagination and adventurous self be the cookbook.

No, itβs not cheap. But itβs a QUALITY piece of cookware and the non-stick finish is fantastic. Iβve used it several times on my induction range with zero issues. Yes, the handles get hot β the instructions tell you so. I ordered the silicone βgripsβ for it but the seller is in the UK and it appears the shipping service is incapable of getting these to Canada. I ordered them over a month ago and still nothing. Instead I just use my Ove Gloves with no problems.
