solved my problem and seems to work just fine. MY car can now drive into the garage without hitting the door.

It screws on just fine, but, you can tell the base is a little bigger than the stock Element antenna. So it fits, just not perfectly. However, you can only notice when looking at it very closely. It works just fine, and, still looks good so I give it 4 stars.
