Have received many complaints on this very unique pendant. It stands out and is different. The Quality is good and the chain is long enough to rest on breast bone. The weight of the pendant is substantial and marked as sterling silver.

This was not a cheap item to buy, but well worth the money! It is absolutely stunning in it's beauty and is very well crafted. I can't wait to get outside with it on as part of my Arwen costume for Renfaire, and I bet it will glisten and shimmer in the sun to show off more of it's true beauty! Really glad I got the licensed product, because there were others at the same price or more that were not an accurate depiction of her pendent.

I bought this for my 5 year old daughter's birthday. She screams: "Beautiful". It is heavy and shining and I believe it is made of Sterling Silver. As a big fan of LOTR, I have been obsessed by this piece for 20 years, now I finally have a perfect excuse to have it.

This review is for the Arwen Evenstar Pendant - Lord of The Rings. It is a birthday gift for my daughter. Her birthday isn't until September of this year (couldn't wait). The first necklace I bought had a little flaw (so we thought). The pendent came easily off the neckless. We thought we could squeeze the ring closed that holds the necklace but I thought.... no we shouldn't have to fix anything on this necklace for the price. So we sent it back and got a replacement. The replacement is perfect. The necklace seems a little more sturdy. My daughter and I think maybe someone changed the chain out for a cheaper one. Not sure but the other necklace seemed a lot thinner. Anyway I would highly recommend this necklace. :)

The pendant is absolutely beautiful and worth it! The only thing I would have to say is that the chain is super cheap, I had to change it and buy a new one.

I would have l given this item 5 stars from the get go. I mean... its just gorgeous... for a moment i found myself in the wee hours of the morning just going to a hidden corner of my dark cave like room to steal a glance at this piece time and again... In short... its as if i had found "My Precious"! Its shine is almost surreal and you just can't keep your eyes off it at first. Truly a beautiful piece worth its decent price. The stones are glued on and it is fragile looking so i do not see myself passing this to my significant other who would just ruin it from daily wear. You cannot obviously pull the stones off as the glue used is thick but prolonged exposure to sweat and the elements could, as is the same with all items, cause the stones to drop off.Now the reason why i gave this 4 stars has nothing to do with the fragile look or the glued on stones. Its simply a matter of symmetry. This item being as gorgeous as it is... is totally not symmetrical. This somehow irks me and makes my OCD go into overdrive whenever i look at it for awhile. If you take it from a certain angle (usually from the side angles, it doesn't seem that bad) But honestly i do not think we are paying money for something that looks okay from the side view. When i sourced this out on the net, i realized alot of the images or videos posted also had the piece that was not symmetrical. So i assume this is how it was designed in the movie as well. You could buy this it if its a collection piece or your partner is not too into perfect balance of jewelry and wouldn't care about the details. Else you are better off buying proper jewelry elsewhere. The last thing i want to hear from people who see it is... "Oh wow! Its gorgeous!... Wait a minute... it seems like they didn't do a proper job on the alignment... Is this a cheap knock off from China?"

So I had to write a review just because I almost didn't buy this due to the little amount of negative reviews claiming that it was cheap, large and tacky, and easily breakable.I am assuming that maybe they ordered from elsewhere? And just assumed it came from here? Because I got mine in the mail and I looked it over and it's gorgeous. The gems/diamonds whatever, I am not an expert on jewelry, do NOT look glued on and I even tried to remove them from the pendant and I couldn't get them off. The size is NOT overwhelming but that's just me. Perhaps that's personal taste. However, I bought this for my mother because she is a huge fan of Lord Of The Rings. She has read every book that's exists, (including the Silmarilion.) and I bought this with the expectation that she wouldn't wear it on a continuous basis. This is meant to be a collectors item for those who are huge fans of both the books and the film production. I did as much research on the product before pay as I possibly could find. I find it hard to believe that the production company, "NewLine Cinema" would endorse something that was made cheap but sold for hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars. If I had my way and could afford it, I would've gladly bought her Gandalf's sword instead, however that is FAR more expensive. Obviously you wouldn't just carry a real, heavy, and delicate sword around with you. It's also considered an actual weapon so taking it to certain public places would get you into some trouble. So I figured, start small, let's go with Arwen's Pendant. I know regardless, my mother will more than appreciate it when she opens it Christmas morning. If you're someone who wants to wear this regularly, that's totally fine. But when you purchase something like this, you have to remember that it was replicated and crafted for those who mean to collect this sort of thing. Not use it regularly. So for those who claim it broke, that could be why. Of course I don't know if this one I bought could break. That is possible. But I am just saying it doesnt look cheap and it's not particularly "easy" to break since I attempted it. It's beautifully crafted and weighs in perfectly, not too heavy, but not too light either. The chain isn't very long, some claimed it was too long. Mine is particularly short. I actually wish it was a bit longer, but that's alright. I tried bending it, wouldn't even budge, the chain seems a bit scary. I had me a cross my mother got me for Christmas. And even though it was custom made, real gold, etc the chain snapped when I went to take off my shirt one day. So even product that's made from real gold or silver can break. Not saying that's acceptable, because it's not, but just saying that anything is possible no matter what. So this chain has the same compacity of my chain that broke some years ago. But like I already said, this really isn't meant for every day use. So just keep remembering that. This product is sold by a collectable website. I decided to buy it through Amazon because I have a student account with free shipping and I trust Amazon to help me out with a terrible product that I want to return. Plus it helped make my purchase a little cheaper since I didn't buy it straight from The Noble Collection. But I don't want to return this, not even a little bit. Despite there being other websites to buy this from for cheaper, I spent more, because of all the evidence that pointed to an actual piece that would be well-crafted and great for collecting. If it would've showed up at my door not looking up to par, than I would expect NewLine Cinema wouldn't endorse it anymore since it is one of the biggest production companies of Hollywood. I wanted something that looked exactly like it came from the movie (despite that it didn't) and would last long enough. I am incredibly happy for my purchase. No one has any idea how excited I am for my mother to open this on Christmas Day. It's a well-deserved present for her. So if you're someone who is nervous about purchasing this product due to quality, don't let the negative comments scare you away. It's perfectly fine. And if I am wrong, and you are not satisfied, that's whybyou go through Amazon to make sure your refund goes according to plan. :) enjoy
