I love this document organizer. Unlike other folders I've used, which have a similar structure and organization, this one is made of sturdy cardboard, making it much stronger. It is also securely tied, so nothing can fall out. The horizontal and vertical designs allow me to store different types of documents. The smaller sections are perfect for important items like passports and other essential cards. Additionally, the organizer has index tabs at the beginning, so I can easily note what's inside each section. It is well-designed and easy to use.

This item has reprinted labels that prompt you to think of things you might not think of. Very well put together.

I've just stored all of my important documents in the drawer of a safe, somewhat willy nilly. No organization whatsoever. Decided to check these folio organizers out, and they're absolutely perfect. I had to get multiple to fill my needs, but they're great for organizing documents.

Like most poor schlubs, I've hemmed and hawed about getting all my important paperwork together and organized so that when I "exit the premises", some poor friend/relative won't cuss me for not having my act together and leaving a mess to sort out. This is not just a simple notebook, but a complete system, with 8 large envelopes and 6 smaller envelopes to store large documents, such as wills, DNR statements, financial statements, etc. There are 33 pre-printed labels provided that can be used to label insurance, vehicle info, Power of Atty, online conmmunities, keys, pet info, etc. There is a Folio Index page as well. The book itself is sturdy, well made, but not expandable, but if you need to store more than 14 envelopes, there is a pocket on the inside front cover that will hold more. The corners of the notebook covers have metal tips for protection and an elastic band keeps the covers closed on a shelf and documents enclosed within. The 2-in wide spine has no place to slide a label into (like lots of notebooks provide) but there is plenty of room to add a printed label to distinguish an otherwise nondescript, but 'professional', notebook.Whereas you could probably put something together similar if you gathered the envelopes and got a decent notebook and thought about what needed to go inside.. The key value here is that a lot of the preliminary thinking is already done for you. So, if you're like me, you'll just procrastinate and say "some day, I'll...". This notebook/system is just enough emphasis to get you started. As a bonus, I might suggest that you also look at an online tool that does much of what this notebook does for free and it's online. Check out www.Fidsafe.com - a service provided by Fidelity, the financial folks. It's free and deals with the issue of having a central depository for your important documents. It allows you to upload documents and assign who can get access, such as your attorney, executor, spouse, etc. There may be similar services, apps/programs available, but Fidelity's is designed to hold your important docs and structure access, and I've found the folks at Fidelity to be top-notch as is this service, so check it out.

I really like this document organizer. It is extremely well-built, has heavy duty envelopes that keep your documents from getting lost. Each envelope has a tie on it so that even if you shake the whole document organizer in any position at all nothing will fall out. It has metal corners to keep from easy wearing out. It comes with a very nice set of labels to stick on the various envelope to indicate their contents and also has a table of content page at the beginning. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that it would have been kind of nice to have the envelopes have a transparent window so you can see the document itself without having to open the envelope. Excellent document organizer. Recommended.

This is a pretty great little organization system. The materials feel sturdy and it comes with lots of labels you can apply to keep track of all your important papers. There's enough variety of envelopes that it has something for every kind of document.
