I ordered 4 packages, 8 needles but received only 2 packages, 4 needles. Very disappointed.

The ball tip end on these needles open up the holes in crossstitch fabric making very neat stitches. Size 28 make stitching on 40 count easy. They are hard to thread as the eye is smaller than most other needles. That can be a challenge if you have bad eyes but I love them anyway. They are also longer than most needles. When I get to the end I swap for a shorter needle. They are worth a little inconvenience. I've been doing counted crossstitch for 50 years and they are the best needles I have ever used.

I found that ball tipped needles do not split the fabric. They separate the threads of wefts when starting or ending with a pin stitch.28 is my preferred size. It’s petite. My gorilla grip broke too before I had the right feel.They are easy to thread with a clean edge.Zoom in on the photo. Pin stitches are clean.

I love these needles. They are easy to work with. Great for needlepoint and cross stitch. When finish with my crafts, they look better and more real. I wish the eye would be bigger. My eyes are not what they use to be! 😊

These needles are just great for cross stitching. They have this tiny ball at the end so you do not split the fabice as you are cross stitching. The needle will go into the holes already in your aida cross stitching fabric easily
