It makes a wonderful tight sleek clamp. Beware it is not as easy to use as demonstrated.

The tool is listed as the CLT05 model. That is the yellow or brass colored one with a wing-nut. The CLT07 model is pictured with a hex nut. (Didn’t know that when ordered.) I have a CLT05 already so was very disappointed to get the same one. I put a hex nut on first one so figured I’d order one with nut. The wing nut will tear up your fingers with heavy use. The tool itself is a very good tool and probably made close to 300 wire clamps.

Not as easy to use as advertised, be alright if you have plenty of room around the hose or whatever you’re working on. Shows a nut on top, this one has a wing nut, not a problem to change but should be as pictured.

Other reviews indicate these type of tools have been around for years. It's new to me though and I really like it. I have several garden hoses with replacement ends thanks to my dogs (past and present) who have chewed the hoses. This tool and .041 wire from H. Freight replaced the cumbersome hose clamps. By the way, I think the standard wing nut as on this model is perfectly adequate. No need in my opinion for the more expensive t-handle version. Tool seems very robust for what it is. I know now that there are YouTube vids how to make your own and while that's intriguing (cuz i do stuff like that) I'm happy I bought this little gem!

This is a tool.that belongs in every toolbox. Don't like the small butterfly nut. still a great tool. 3 times overpriced. $10-$14 would be good. Since you can easily make it yourself.

I first saw these and purchased one of these at the SEMA show in Las Vegas a while back. I ordered more of these from Amazon to give out as gifts to my close friends. They are a great tool to have in your emergency pack for fastening or making clamps as well as using everyday to make custom clamp solutions. i added this to a small bag along with a variety of stainless and other wire and a cutters - now have a complete do-it-yourself emergency clamping pack for off-road adventures.
