I’ve had this brush a while. It is holding up and works wonders on my 19 year old cat. Gentle strokes. Not sure if you can clean it.

I have 2 cats, one is very nitpicky about everything including brushes.Pros: He's not opposed to getting groomed by this brush which is amazing. However this is where the con came in. My cat is a long hair and his fur is very fine. The brush isn't able to pick up any shedding fur on him. It was more effective brushing fur off clothing instead.

I really love this new brush for my large 3 year old cat. As for bristle loss, as per other reviews - I think I saw 1 bristle fall out - this is absolutely a non-issue. No need to worry!The brush itself feels good in the hand. I like the solid wood and the real bristles (not silicone nubs). It must feel good to my cat also, as he allowed me to brush areas he normally doesn’t like touched with other type of brushes -; such as his forehead, cheeks; belly and back haunches. These areas are typically off limits with him. I’m super pleased. I wasn’t sure what to expect but this brush exceeds my expectations for a soft, gentle cat brush. Exactly what I wanted.

Fairly soft brush, works best with my two short haired cats and it's more of a bonding experience than a true brushing. It gets already loose hairs out and doesn't do much for deshedding but does work well enough that I have noticed a difference in cat hair on my bed.

It's a great little cat brush. It's not too soft yet not too firm. Sits right in the middle where a good brush needs to be. Cats love it. Easy to clean.

My long hair needs to be brushed the most, but hates it. I guess he is autistic and extremely sensitive to sensation. I own about ten different brushes that he hates. He loves this simple bristle brush! He purrs and doesn’t run away and asks for more! Yay go me for selecting this one!

I like this product because it works very well for grooming face and ears, chin and neck. The size of the brush is small, but this is a positive when doing detail face work with speed. The boar bristle does add sheen, and has a good combination of stiffness and softness. I have 8 rescue cats indoors in the winter, and they all agree this is a treat, good grooming stimulation. My only complaint is price, but I guess the quality is worth it, and boar bristle is rare?

We have a 15 year old cat who, in her old age, has significant trouble grooming herself which has caused a lot of matting and loss of the luster that her fur had during her younger years. This brush has significantly helped keep her groomed and looking much better than other brushes we had for her. She knows the sight of the brush box when we pull it out and comes running over for her grooming session with us. It is gentle on her sensitive skin, and she loves to rub her face all over it when we just hold it up for her "to groom" herself. While she still get mats and her fur isn't what it used to be (she's 15 - it happens), this brush had definitely helped restore some of the luster that it once had (it's more because I don't use it daily like she would probably prefer, but sometimes I just forget and life gets in the way). I love love love this brush, and our little feline queen loves it even more!

my cat woulnt let me brush him at all, now he loves getting brushed because its soft. it removes soo much hair and he thinks hes getting big pets. he is medium length hair,not long but thick; minus 1 star because its too small, but still recommend

My cat refused to let me use any other kind of brush. I’ve tried the silicone brush/mitten and wire brushes & she could not stand either of them. I think they were too overstimulating for her. This one she immediately took to, and lets me brush her. It works really well for her fur and it is just the right size. I’ve read reviews about the bristles falling out & mine are still in tact, but I know that they will eventually fall out. That’s what naturally happens with boar bristle brushes (even the ones for human hair)—so that doesn’t bother me. I would highly recommend

I like the brush. I can feel comfortable brushing my cat's cheeks without having a perfectly clear shot of doing it based on how she's laying. When I brush her I can feel confident that the bristles are not going to scratch her gums if I'm brushing near her mouth or scratch anywhere too close to her eyes like other brushes can. This won't cause any harm which is what I was looking for. It makes her hair really nice and soft. She really enjoys it. She enjoys this brush more when it comes to brushing her cheeks than any other brush that I have. And she enjoys it on her body as well.Quality of the brush. Posts are saying that people had bristles fall out. I never experienced that this brush is nice and solid. And as for the posts that say that it doesn't take hair out of their cat, it does for me anyways. This does a nice job of taking hair out. Yes, you have to brush your cat everyday, just like you were supposed to brush your own hair everyday. This brush is not going to be as aggressive in the hair removing as other brushes will be, but it still does remove a lot of hair that over time I did notice that when I went to pet her she had less hair coming out just from my hand running down her body. And I have noticed that she has a lot less dander since I've started using this brush. My cat has kidney disease and unfortunately she's just going to have dander now due to the food I think. I don't know what causes it but all of my cats that had kidney disease all had dander. This brush seems to helps with that. Don't notice as much anymore. I use a comb to clean out the brush. I am quite happy with this purchase. I was a little worried looking at the reviews when I bought it. But I'm glad that I did. Side note. I've been brushing her for a few days for the brush to look like this. I've already cleaned it out once since I've gotten it and it's looking due for a second cleanout. I do use another brush that I bought from Amazon that I really like as well Hartz black handle purple head. That's I guess diamond shaped is the best way to describe. It looks like a square that had two points kind of squished together a little bit. I like this one as well for getting the cheek area. She likes both these brushes
