I am getting these times for all my bathrooms. I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. I remember times when the bathroom fan stayed on for hours due to us being out and forgot to turn it off. Now, with these times, no more worries. Works perfectly, the instruction was clear and easy to follow if you've done electrical work before. Just make sure to get one of those live wire testers so you connect all the wires properly.

Timer function works as it should. Unfortunately the manual on/off button must be held for 8 SECONDS before it turns the fan on/off. Otherwise the big button just turns on your previous timer selection. I would prefer the big button to just operate manual on/off normally.

This is a nice idea, but doesn't quite work for us. Made of an inexpensive feeling plastic. It is also quite bulky, making for a very tight fit into the box. This one requires the white neutral wire, making it even more snug in the box. Unfortunately, this is not the best solution for our needs.

Easy to install if you understand a simple wiring diagram.Y prior wiring was phase reversed so I needed to identify and diagnose wiring. A multimeter helped.Hopefully unique to my house.I would buy it again.

This timer switch was very easy to install as long as you have basic residential wiring knowledge and has a nice clean modern look, especially compared to one of those old style dial timers with the plate falling off.The switch can be back wired, which is easier, but I'm not usually a fan, because it's typically just spring clips holding the wire. This timer switch, however, has the screw clamp type back wiring, like seen on higher quality or commercial grade receptacles, so the connection is better with the conductor under higher clamping force. Long story short this switch seems to be well made and actually is UL listed.I don't really have anything negative to say about it, just make sure you save the instruction pamphlet since it contains instructions for programing the behavior of the indicator lights and explains button function.

Ordered this TG Countdown Timer Switch for Bathroom Fans and Lights, Neutral Wire Required Wall Switch Timer, 1-5-10-15-20-30 Min, UL Listed, Screwless Wall Plate Included, White to use on future jobs as I am a journeyman electrician and can only install UL listed products like this one.First thing I did was open it up and inspect all the terminals and construction for any red flags. None were found, correct color screws are used, it is well marked and listed, terminals hold well and allow for back wiring. It has a ground, neutral and hot. I can't tell you how many products I have reviewed that neglect having correct terminals. I like that a screwless plate is included, that can save you a few bucks and match higher end trim style.Function wise I tested it on my bench and everything worked as advertised. I did not actually notice the night light feature because I tested it in a lighted environment. The indicator light is plenty strong though and can be set to blink twice when you press the button then go off, or stay on until the device shuts off. I prefer the light staying on when the device is running personally. One potential downside is that if you have a very weak bathroom fan you may want it to stay on longer than the maximum time on this device which is 30 minutes. The resistive load is rated at 15 amps and there are some smaller bathroom wall heaters that run at about 10 amps and could potentially use this device as well, in that case the 5 minute mode may be more beneficial. (if installing a new heater they need a dedicated circuit). I had a 1000w one in my bathroom I looped up to a switch on the wall with a 15 amp capable switch like this one. So much nicer than messing with the thermostat and it being left on or overheating the space.Anyway, the bar has certainly been lowered with regard to my expectations about electrical products I have reviewed. This one I am happy to say was a pleasant surprise. From the construction, function to documentation all ducks are in a row and I would buy this or a name brand at the box store before try to save a few bucks on a non listed product.
