So I don't use mine for rock climbing. I use it on the tie out for my 150LB Persa Canario Mastiff. He's broken 3 collars and 2 tie outs. This clip has withheld him when he's gone full throttle and hasn't broken like other clips.

I'm no rock climber, though I have used similar carabiners to rappel off bridges and down the sides of buildings. I was very impressed with this carabiner.Aside from being strong and well made, I especially like the lock design. To open the carabiner, you must twist the lock 90 degrees. The twist allows the carabiner 'gate' to open; it is spring loaded, so you need to push the gate open, then removing pressure pops the gate back to a closed and locked position. The lock itself is also spring loaded, and automatically flips back to the locked position, with no need to manually lock it. The lock prevents the carabiner gate from opening at two blocking points; built in redundancy for extra safety.Although strong carabiners can be used for multiple purposes, I am taking one with me when I walk my three medium to large dogs. I will use it if I ever need to 'tie them up/restrain them' on a walk. (Like, for instance, if I see a motorist who needs someone to help push their car out of the road. You don't want dogs there for that.) My concern was whether the carabiner would open wide enough for the retractable leash handle, I use for the one dog who requires me to use a retractable leash. I was pleased to find that, although the carabiner is only medium size, it was able to hold all three leashes with no problem.A carabiner like this is something I will want to have on me at all times when I leave the house, because you never know when you'll find yourself in a situation when you'd be saying to yourself, "Man, a carabiner would be really useful right about now."

I replaced some crappy carabiner clips with these, they seem solid. I've used them as a backup for my harness when climbing. I am hesitant to use non-name brands as a primary safety connection, but they feel very solid for what I use them for. Would I trust my life to one of these by themselves? Eh, in a pinch maybe, but for the price and size, I like them.

The fit and polish of these carabiners look good. They are light weight and have a nice locking system. The locking system is a spring loaded twist that works well and is much easier than the screw type I have on others I own. I don't use for climbing, I just like a high quality carabiner to use for clipping items on my backpack or to use for rafting or canoeing to tie things on to straps. Perfect for my applicaton.

I cannot find any issues with this carabiner. It is certainly strong enough to hold the couple hundred pounds I need it for. I can't say they they are good for climbing. At least, they are good for climbing into my hammock anyway. The spring lock is responsive and smooth.I am no carabiner expert, but these work very well for the light duty use I need them for.
Always something to do

These are excellent auto-lock carabiners. The parts are high quality as is the black coating. They are rated for climbing so they would also work great for hammocks. We all know that carabiners have countless uses and these would probably be great for most of them.I’m very happy with their strength and quality, so I am using them with my fall protection gear.Excellent!

The T-Fly Auto Locking Climbing Carabiner Clips 25KN (5620 lbs), Heavy Duty Carabiners for Rock/Ice Climbing, Rappelling, Rescue, Hammocks 3.9" Large Size (2pack) were obtained to have on hand as needed. I have never owned "hardcore" carabiners I keep them with me on my four wheeler, where on any given day I may be moving logs, clearing brush, hauling water, fishing, whatever. With these, which I am not a rock climber and would be very weary of risking my life with any brand, I can feel secure that they will hold my dog if needed. These carabiners look good, are lightweight and have a locking system that seems secure to me, being spring-loaded with a twist. They are easier to handle with one hand than the screw ones. Thus far, perfect for everything I have used them on.
