its' thick 6 mil. Needs to be attached to a wall or frame, reflects well.

The "6 Mil" indicates the thickness of the film, where "Mil" is a unit of measurement equal to one-thousandth of an inch (0.001 inches or 0.0254 mm).I thought it was 6mm ..thinner then paperWould not buy again.

It's absolute crappy. I cannot use it for anything. Chinese made crappy!!! Don't buy.thin as paper. Made really cheap and cost about 40 bucks. They should ban anyone from pushing this crap to consumers any where. Way over priced. I have been getting other things from Amazon that isn't even close to what is advertised. Shame on YOU Amazon . I kept the last two pieces of crappy, this will be the 3rd and final. I'm done!! Took my card off my account and won't be giving them my hard earned $$$'s anymore.

I have a dark back room with a lot of window space. It looks out in a tiny back yard and the fence gets a fair amount of sun. This Mylar has done a great job of reflecting the sun back into the room.This Mylar film stapled well to the fence and feels really sturdy. It never tore and looks as good as it did when I put it up. It has stood up to many high winds, tons of rain, freezing, hail, animals climbing the fence and whatever else our climate can throw at it.I also garden and can see myself using it to reflect more light on some of my beds. I can definitely recommend it.

I actually returned this product because I made changes to my hydroponic system that no longer required it’s use. However, when I initially opened the box and saw the quality of the roll of Mylar, I was so impressed with it’s sturdiness and reflectivity that I decided to write a review. The 6mm. mylar is totally legit. Thick, sturdy and looks like it would have been easy to work with. I will definitely purchase again if the need arises!

It's very durable, almost difficult to cut. But that durability helped when trying to fasten this to my diy grow tent frame. I poked holes in the material and was able to use zip-ties to secure it to the frame, and it doesn't feel like it will pull away or tear. I've also been able to staple it to a wooden frame in another use of this material. It seems to be somewhat reflective without giving you any hotspots, due to the diamond pattern.The only issue I've had with it is with its memory for the shape of the spool it comes on. It strongly wants to roll back up into a cylinder, which makes it a bit frustrating to work with when wrapping a frame. I ended up using spring clamps to attach it to the frame periodically as I wrapped, just to keep it from rolling back up.

The overall quality of the product is good but this is not what I expected. It’s thinner than it says on the website/ packaging. I have to get some extra insulation to make it work.
