OK, so my first time ordering this Amazon sent me one that was obviously repackaged from a return, and not a surprise, it was faulty. So I returned that and immediately ordered a new one. It seems to work really well and hopefully it is somewhat of a deterrent. One thing you need to know is if you have a new car whereby you start the engine by pushing the brake and pressing a button, you need to first get in the car take off the device before you can start it up. So if it’s a cold day, and you have a remote start, I suggest you use that first, otherwise you’ll be freezing cold trying to get the device off before you can start the car. The device is really easy to unlock, but unlike advertised, although it does compress fairly small, it is not small enough to fit in my glove box. So I just choose to leave it in the foot well of the passenger side. I’m hoping never to be in an accident where that might become a flying projectile. Overall, I’m impressed with the quality of the device. It’s solid and heavy and appears to do a good job. Having read several reviews on various antitheft devices, this was the only device that was reviewed to be unbreakable. I am happy with my purchase, but please watch, if you order it, that you get a brand new unopened box. Why Amazon sent me a previously returned item, I do not know…. Perhaps the previous purchaser returned it without realizing it was defective??? I’ll never know.

Heavy duty , for sure , nice looking , but in our Ford Fusion it's impractical , too confined a space . Lock is hard to reach .

This bar is heavy duty! If any potential thieves try to get this off, they're either really really desperate or plan on staying a while. Very easy to put on and take off. But without the key, it'll take some great effort.

Very solid look, feel, and weight. I WOULDN'T try to steal any car with THIS installed! Very easy to install. BEFORE the Tevlaphee lock is installed -a) Please unlock the steering wheelb) Push the steering wheel all the way inc) Lower the steering wheel to it's lowest pointd) Re-lock the steering wheelNOW attach the Tevlaphee locke) Completely insert the Tevlaphee key into the Tevlaphee lockf) Turn the key and the Tevlaphee lock expandsg) You may have to move your right leg underneath and to the left of the Tevlaphee lock as this pointh) Pull the Tevlaphee lock's blue hook all the way outi) Twist and attach the Tevlaphee lock's blue hook under the brake pedalj) Pull the Tevlaphee lock's silver handle under your steering wheelk) Push the Tevlaphee lock's silver handle over the bottom of your steering wheel towards your feet until the Tevlaphee lock rests against your steering wheell) The Tevlaphee lock's key can be removed at this point locking your steering wheel to your brake.**) IF YOU CAN PULL THE Tevlaphee LOCK AWAY FROM YOUR STEERING WHEEL - you have NOT properly locked the Tevlaphee LOCK.
