We bought this to go with the TETON XL cot, and it's comfortable, but takes up a lot of cargo space. I wish it came with a bag to store it in.

Took this on a five-day glamping trip with my family. I slept under a down comforter in a fuzzy duvet, so under my body was only a fitted sheet, this cot pad, and my cot. It got down to the low 40s at night. I was completely warm and comfortable with this soft, dense pad. For those who are still capable of sleeping on the ground, this pad would easily make a good ground pad too.The pad is upholstered with a regrettably orange fabric. The fabric is very sturdy, and pleasant to the touch. One of my favorite elements of the pad is that there are attached straps, so when you roll it up, the straps are right there and you can keep it rolled easily. After being stored rolled, when I unrolled it, the pad mostly laid flat immediately, but there was a bit of a curl at the end of the pad. After sleeping on it, that curl went away.At first I was disappointed in the thickness (I'd been looking at those huge 3 inch pads, which would roll up enormous), but I'm a convert. It is completely comfortable on my cot, and while it rolls up to a large size, it still takes up a lot less room in the car than the larger pads. I'm glad I bought it and recommend this pad highly. I hope I've been helpful!

I have owned a Teton 5° mummy sleeping bag, and inflatable pillow for a few years and have taken them on numerous camping and hiking trips including one to the Himalayas in Nepal. The sleeping bag is well made, functional and affordable and this sleeping pad is no different. I brought the sleeping pad with me for a short weekend trip with my son's and I slept like a baby and woke up without being sore. The pad is surprisingly lightweight, the canvas material is durable yet soft to sleep on, and it expands two inches when you unroll it. It has a good r-value when using it on my Coleman Trailhead II cot which has a thin canvas on it that can get cold at night while sleeping directly on it. My back wasn't sore and it fit my cot perfectly. Looking forward to bringing this sleeping pad with me on many more hiking and camping trips in the future. If you are looking for a sleeping pad that is lightweight, durable, and comfortable - this is the one you want. You won't be disappointed. Teton makes great camping gear.

This mattress is really comfortable. I've been sleeping on it nightly. I got it for my Coleman comfortSmart cot to replace the cheep mattress it came with. It was an exact fit. I'm now using it on a Ozark trails XL cot. It's just a little small but I don't even notice.

Super fast delivery with Prime! Ordered late Sunday evening, arrived early Wednesday morning... just in time for camping this weekend. This pad is more than I could have hoped for. It is thoughtfully designed, exceptionally well made, and extremely durable. The cover is removable for washing, if necessary, (I haven't needed to do that as yet) and the XXL pad is large enough (width and length) for a big guy like me (6 foot, 300lbs). It's comfortable enough to use right on the ground or floor and even has a built-in pillow pouch to keep your head-rest from wandering off in the middle of the night. The pad rolls up easily with a sturdy, but light, built-in roller bar and has rugged tie-down straps and carry handle sewn into the cover. The company must have some Eagle Scouts working on their team, or at least enough frustrated, sleep-deprived campers who wanted to build a better mousetrap... because they've done it marvelously with this unit. This is one heavy-duty sleeping pad intended for drive-in camping (definitely not for backpacking). Once the XXL cot arrives (which this pad cleverly attaches to with bungee loops at each of the corners) I have no doubt the combo will be even more impressive; both out in the bush or when an extra bed is needed in our small home. This is a definite WINNER!

I give this camp pad 5 stars for quality and how well it fits my Teton cot. I give it 2 stars for being so expensive, after all it is still just a foam pad with a nice cover over it. That said I knew the price when I bought it so it still gets the official 5 star rating. This pad along with the large Teton cot is a great combination and very comfortable to sleep on.

After 22 years of sleeping on the ground with the Marine Corps, my new idea of camping is driving my truck to a remote location and setting up a comfortable base camp - comfort being the key word. I replaced my hard foam military sleeping mat with a self-inflating one, and while that was a huge step in the right direction I started thinking I wanted a good cot and mattress pad instead of laying on the ground. I'm 6'3" and tired of my feet hanging off the end of my beds, so the TETON XXL cot and this accompanying pad was what I decided on, and when this pad went on sale for under $100 I ordered a couple. I don't have the cot itself yet, but this pad can work as a ground mat without the cot.First, the total length is 84 inches, but the usuable length is only 79. The other 5 inches is at the head of the pad and is designed to hang over the end of the cot with a small zippered pouch, supposedly for valuables or maybe an mp3 player, and a flat wood slat to assist in rolling the pad back up. Laying on my stomach my toes still hang over the end, but that's much better than my ankles, and on my back I'm completely on the pad. It's wide enough for both me and my 45lb Labrador to lay on and the material feels sturdy enough to stand up to years of use. It's almost as comfortable as a real bed, and much more comfortable than any other sleeping mat I've used.It doesn't come with a transport bag so while I may look for something in the future for now I kept the boxes to store them in. The cinch straps are heavy duty nylon with snap-lock buckles, sewn onto the pad itself. That plus the slat at the other end makes it really easy to roll them up tight, or if you want roll them up really loose so the pad isn't compressed between camping trips. There's also a zippered pocket at the head that you could put a pillow into, but since I like flipping my pillow over while sleeping I doubt I'll ever be using it.As other reviewers have stated, this isn't a pad for backpacking. And it is wide so it'll take up more space in the car than most camping pads. But if comfort is what you're looking for, you can't go wrong with this pad.Update Sept "13: because this pad didn't come with a storage/carrying bag I had been storing them in the original boxes until I could find a bag the right size. I couldn't find anything this size that opened on the end, not because of the diameter of the rolled pad but because of the length. I first tried a 16" x 40" duffle bag which was 2" larger in both diameter and length than the measured rolled pag, and while once inside the bag the pad did fit perfectly it took too much tucking and forcing to get it in. I ended up with the . The rolled pad goes in and out of the bag smoothly and there's a little extra room so you don't have to roll the pad tightly.
