I love this charger. With 2 Tesla's but only one level 2 charger between them, sometimes a bit of a top-up is required. Or if you're out and about, visiting folks or staying at place with a 110 / 220v outlet this is a great 'drip-charge' for your car.Unlike the Tesla charger it's got a nice box, with LCD display telling you what's going on, where it's going to, and how it's doing. My garage has some old wiring in it - one side is flaky and the Tesla charger complains about the wiring. The other side is newer and able to cope with the 10A draw. This box correctly identified the issue with the smaller guage wiring, and when put into the 'good side' reconnected and started charging the last 8% on my M3.I love that it has 'time-of-day' scheduling, so you can set it to charge at cheap rates. It's easy to use, the handle is shaped a bit like the Chademo style of the non-NACS connectors, but with a NACS on the end of it. It IS bulky, but works just fine.It comes with a handy mounting bracket to secure it to a wall if you like, and also a mesh carry case for bringing it with you on your travels. I'd be using for travel and while you *could* use this as a home-based charger, I'd suggest that a L2 would be less irritating. If you can't? Then this is a WAY better charger than the Tesla stock one, and cheaper to boot.

This is a great basic charger, I have a 240V 30A power receptacle in my garage. I connect this charger to it via a suitable (not provided) adapter and I can use the full 240V 16A charging power (almost 4kW) which allows me to charge my vehicle overnight.I appreciate the clear LCD display which shows nice statistics - although most vehicles show the same statistics nowadays, it's nice to have another option without having to get inside the car.The Tesla NACS connector seems to behave properly, I hope it will be durable. No worries so far, works fine.I appreciate that a wall mount is provided, but for now I simply leave it dangling from the plug, works fine as is.For the price, $139 at the time of review, with a $50 off coupon, it's a great deal. I would recommend it either for overnight charging at home, or for emergency charging on the road.

Easily solved my charging challenge. I have a VW ID4 and have been reluctant to buy a charger because I don't intend to get another EV after this lease is over and I've got 18 months left. It's become to much of a pain to charge elsewhere since someone let me borrow their charger for a few weeks and opened my eyes. For the record, I did have to buy an adapter to charge a non-Tesla.This charger works great, and faster than the VW app suggested. I did have to read through the instructions a little bit for initial use but they are pretty straightforward. When I did plug it in, the VW app suggested it would complete the charging session (at 100%) in a little over 11 hours. It completed the charge in just over 9 hours which is a win in my book. So it charged at a great rate in my opinion. You just have to accept that a charger like this is going to be slow compared to a public charger (by design). So, with realistic expectations going into the first test - I was pleasantly surprised that it exceeded said expectations. The charger is also feature rich, which is nice. I don't care about all the data personally but it's there if you want it. There are settings to choose from and data to access on the nice little screen.

This Tesla level 1 and 2 mobile charger is a versatile and portable charging solution for Tesla owners, offering both 110V (level 1) and 240V (level 2) charging with adjustable current up to 16A. Its NEMA 6-20 plug enables faster 240V charging, while the NEMA 5-15 adapter allows use with standard household outlets. Pros include its compact design, long 25ft cable, and plug-and-play convenience, making it great for travelers, renters, or those needing a backup charger. However, charging speeds are limited; level 1 charging is very slow (~3-4 miles per hour), and level 2 charging, while better, is still slower than Tesla’s wall connector (maxing out at 12 miles per hour). While the charger is ideal for low-mileage drivers or emergency use, it may not be sufficient for high-mileage Tesla owners who need faster daily charging. Unlike smart home chargers, it lacks wifi integration, meaning no Tesla app control or remote monitoring. Additionally, it requires a NEMA 6-20 outlet for optimal performance, which isn’t standard in most homes. For those who drive long distances or plan long-term EV ownership, investing in a higher-output level 2 charger (32A or 48A) is a better choice. However, as a portable, easy-to-use solution, this charger remains a solid option for many Tesla drivers.

This Tesla mobile charger is essentially useless due to the bulky handle, which prevented it from even clicking into my P100D. Despite the adjustable current and long cable, the handle design makes it impossible to connect properly, rendering it completely ineffective. I was really hoping this would work for my Model S, but it just doesn’t. Would not recommend it at all.
